Theme Teamer Tears

Hello all, 

How many of you really judge a promo as good or bad solely if your team gets a card? I'd love to have seen some Raven champions but that doesn't make the promo bad in my mind, still lots of great players but I'm still seeing so much hate online for the promo.

I don't run a TT. I judge a program by:

1. If what should work actually works (and if it does work it isn't painfully boring/annoying)
2. If LTD/Champion cards are as good as they should be
3. If lower tier cards (Heroes, Elites, etc) are good cards for their budget
4. If the player choices are at least half decent

Agreed, like I hate the Steelers but bringing Dri Archer in is such a fun move by EA, because that man is a ghost of Madden and that's just a cool thing by them to do. I'd like to see them bring more of these cards back and around.

I have theme team tears as I feel this promo has killed 80%+ of the TT with the  speed, discounted abilities and the ZC chem boosts of the promo cards .  
 

Even with Gurley and Watt I don’t think my Broncos TT will be as good as the ZC TT until sometime in February.

I know people run theme teams but who really cares about them in MUT? You can run a theme team but don't get mad if your theme team doesn't get a card in a new promo. It's Ultimate Team, not Ultimate Theme Team lol. That's why i buy cards i want instead of being strapped to a theme team

I run a theme team and players from my team are generally the ones that I want. I also use others cards if they are fun, game changing, and sometimes if they are free. Two cards from This release for my TT and one that just looks fun. NMS, but I’ve got the set pieces stashed away and will have all three today. I also don’t have to have the newest or the shiniest cards and running a TT helps my boost up Redux’s and expensive cards a few weeks after they are released.  I stay competitive with the most players online pretty much regardless of the cards.  Up to 50 players now and the +2 speed boost puts new tread on tired cards.
