Defense is useless against gun bunch

At this point unless I make a play with my user my defense is getting torched every time against stupid gun bunch… my defense is a 95 overall

Defense is pointless this year. There isn't a single defense that works consistently and idk about anybody else but my user has been moving in slow motion lately. Idk if EA nerfed user controlled players but holy shit, i can't move for the life of me. I usually user Evans and Carmichael and both guys feel like they are stuck in mud which makes defense even harder. Really tired of the arcade bullshit in this game

4-3 even 6-1 is probably The best defense tbh

Yeah its so pointless because you have to basically do EVERYTHING yourself and like you said half the time the game wont even let you do that. Ive had the "assist" or whatever literally pull me away/noy respond to me trying to do something manually. 

The game feels so lazy and scripted.

Yep. And i was always a guy who never really thought it was scripted or predetermined but i'm starting to think it is. Some games, my players and menu moves lightning fast and some games, i can barely do anything and everything is delayed. I'm not sure what else i need to do in order to get stops on defense. Maybe i'll go back down to 90 overall and maybe then i'll be able to win 5-6 in a row like i used to. I upgraded my team and it fucking sucks now

Lol i just can't sit there and do all that. I was winning plenty of games without it, the problem is my players not reacting to anythin and the damn delayed response shit

It’s a valid complaint. Defensive concepts should work across different formations. We shouldn’t all have to run the same garbage to be effective. And other things work, theyre just not as brain dead and take more work. Some of us don’t want to be bots.

I agree that other things do work, tbh 4-3 even 6-1 is ass if you can’t adjust. Bubbles and the flats are absolutely killed, and if you play somebody who can freeform properly corners are open a lot

It's December and we're still seeing threads like this.  I definitely made the right decision sticking with the old gen version of the game.  

For me... gameplay is far better when you can user effectively and Gronk is literally the best user I've ever had in ten years playing MUT.  And playing on an XBox Series X... the menus are downright blazing.  I know my days playing the old gen version are numbered... but I think I'd rather retire from the game than play the casualized version of the game you guys are playing... designed to make offense much easier for new players and bots.

I wish they would offer a "MUT Classic" option.

just means that if you have a good defense the game is competitive. The competition on old gen is not good anymore

Nah... just watch top streamers who struggle to get stops.

There is no defense against someone who is competent on offense... and defense is difficult against mediocre players.  That's the game EA wants... they want little Timmy to be able to pick up the game and feel like they have a chance in most games.

...and there's plenty of good players who stayed on the old gen version (granted not "comp" level)... I've played both versions bruh.
