I mean like why not, it gets rid of the coin sellers, they just have to bring the cost per 100k down overtime and im pretty sure it doesn't take a genius to figure out how much to sell it for.

Exactly. The only times companies do that is when and where they are FORCED to. Greed is a hell of a thing.
They make more money by people NOT getting what they want but STILL spending money. Its highly unethical but rarely illegal as long as the powers that be are getting their cut.
