No, I think it’s different, it literally says “Beat Press” and on the stocking stuffer final upgrade for KJ Osborn it says beat press

anytime I’m in man coverage press or not press i get beat off the line on go routes or crossing routes and like my most recent game the guy had julius Thomas 93 speed 93 accel 90 release and he would beat woolen 94 speed 94 accel 94 press off the line and be 5 steps ahead going down the field I don’t understand how? sometimes pre snap I would adjust the coverage using right stick to over the top and still get beat on the go/crossing route

when in press I usually back my guys up like press y or triangle and then move them forward. Gotta time it cause if you back them up and leave them backed up the other team can whip a slant or something but with my 90 ovr corners it literally works

From what you described it sounds like you are messing up the coverage. Man cover only comes in 3 shells (cover 2, cover 1, and zero blitz). Cover 1 and 2 man will stop go routes consistently if played right. Go routes should be double teamed in both scenarios you describe by the man defender and the safety/safeties over the top. Now if you are just leaving him on an island trying to jump other routes with the safety/safeties like in/out breaking routes than ”you“ are messing up the coverage. If you’re not usering the safety and they just don’t help try getting better safetirs or using KO abilities on them. Man stops go routes but that’s about all it stops consistently. Even zero blitzes your help defender is the blitz getting to the qb quickly. If the blitz doesn’t get to qb quickly then you have no help and he should get toasted. Happens all the time in football.
