How to best position receivers on high flying passing attack (Eagles playbook).

How do folks typically set up their receivers, is it mostly personal preference, or how would you suggest or recommend i deploy the following on my 25 Zero Chill + 25 49ers theme team:

1. Randy Moss Legends (WR1)
2. Megatron AKA Crews (WR2)
3. Tyreek Hill (WR3, Slot1)
4. Jordan Addison (WR3, Slot2)

I'm keeping Tyreek in the Slot, as i often send him on Streaks, to help pull away over top deep safety help, with my primary thinking being that this will enable Megatron to be in that sweet, sweet deep breaking Post route from everyone's favorite Double Post (in this image, Megatron is the red arrow).  I need to invest a little time tinkering, just curious if anyone had thoughts, ideas, suggestions or even criticisms.  I've been throwing way too many short-mid passes and trying to take it to the next level.  Megatron feels liek the first truly high end receiver of the year.

It's been hard to activate Unstoppable Route Tech on Jordan Addison, so I'm looking forward to an X-factor that starts on.  I'm going to EEAT my words in a couple/few weeks when they finally dump Quadfather `24 edition on us, not looking forward to getting curb stomped by that again this year.  What an introduction to MUT that was during `23, oof.  Although, King Henry i guess is already basically that.  Thanks in advance to anyone who can nudge me in the proper direction, or provide some pro-tips.  Be safe.

I try to order my wrs so that my best is in the position that gets the most targets and my " worst" gets the least. I might deviate slightly if that ordering would put a shorter receiver like tyreek on the outside.

Your ordering is exactly how I would order that group of wrs.

Thank you so much for the feedback and suggestions. I can get a little obsessive over roster minutia, which ultimately probably doesn't matter all that much.

Gearing up for my big H2H Seasons Superbowl this evening after final Wild Card / MNF game wraps, trying to get a few things shuffled around, mostly on defense, but finding Megatron in random 78k coin pack all of a sudden gives me a true #1 WR. I seem to favor the overall second option for whatever reason, appreciate you confirming my suspicions. Much obliged. Enjoy MNF, sir.

Thank you kindly, sir. Doesn't really matter, doubt either of these teams make it past Detroit. However, it's been surprisingly enjoyable to watch. Only 1 Tush Push, heh. I was intending to turn this off and go try my luck in my big SB, but wanna make sure I'm ready... had to put up a miracle second half comeback last evening to even get to my SB.

I've only seen a few of these lately, so kind of built up in my head. Hope I don't choke, but highly likely.

Jordan Love is coming to San Fran on Saturday. I would have much rather faced either Buc or Eagles, hope we can contain Love, he's looking really impressive. Should be quite the game.

Appears the Eagles are completing their implosion. Just gave up a Safety and then quick TD, they're down big. I guess it's my time. Thank you again for the advice and your time, sincerely.

Holy shit, I tried my hardest (to choke), still almost blew that SB... twice. I'm an absolute idiot and poor clock management nearly cost me the game. Crazy how vital getting the ball at half and timing your scores really matters. I'm just not quite there yet, my offense is weak. 

I went up 10-0 at half, but he started to figure out my basic Cover 4 defense (no Match, with 9 in the box) and dude made a few really nice possession catches to drop to the ground immediately, before my Zone KOs had a chance to trigger. Eventually, found myself down 16-10 at the end of the 3rd, but had ball. Wasn't confident I could stop him again, his roll out passing attack with Dobbs and Megatron basically negated my Dime interior shed pass rush, so I figured I could run out the clock. NOPE. Up 17-16, dude was in FG range, running for the red zone and big Fred Warner got in behind him for a USER-strip inside 2 minute warning.

That's it, I should have gotten a couple first downs and went home with my trophy. IDIOT. I ran the ball in, leaving him 36 seconds and all three timeouts. Oof.  24-16, I probably should have gone for two to end it. Coulda, shoulda, woulda...

He's spamming Double Post, I'm flustered as all hell, didn't get my defense called in time, so I'm in straight up Man with no abilities... he overthrows. WHEW. Next play, DOT. He's now in red zone, at the 13 yard line with 0:14 to play, so I set 10 yard Flats. Call my Dollar Zone, he rolls out... Slay Jr. leaps up and pulls down CPU pick, returning it to midfield, I say "GG" and he quits with 03 seconds left. Hot damn.

He was definitely better than me, but the good guys got lucky and pulled it off. Thanks for tolerating my drivel. That was fun, a real nail biter. I really shouldn't have stayed up so late, but wanted to practice my new defense before finishing this H2H Seasons. 🏆🏆🏆

Congrats man. Glad it worked out for you. I love hearing about other people's gameplay. It gives me idea how I can improve and what cards make plays for everyone. As someone with a limited budget in mut I try to listen to reviews of cards before making any big purchase decisions

Oh good, thank you.  Always so super polite -- i was worried i overwhelmed you with irrelevant and boring detail.  Initially, i was running just 0AP Pick Artist on Slay Jr. after building my first Playoff Champion (as Slot1) before adjusting to 2AP DOZKO and moving him to the outside, so I could have Julius Peppers in the slot, as his weight ensures he's not immediately gassed if I need to blitz a slot corner... before ultimately doing the same on the opposite side, swapping Randy Moss to Slot and moving Tariq Woolen to the outside.  4AP stack (DOZKO + PA) felt a bit steep to invest in a single DB, but i was able to make it work comfortably with all the discounted abilities we're getting lately.

The moral of the tale, i had to talk myself into having Pick Artist on my outside corners.  Zero regrets, already came up huge for me in crucial H2H gameplay scenarios.  I got spoiled having everything on my outside corners; height, speed, man & zone coverage abilities, plus Pick/LurkArtist and DOZKO.

Thanks again for being such a good sport, even if you are humoring me.  Much obliged, kind sir.  Happy Tuesday, to you!  Wish i had thought of it sooner, but i went back and managed to record the second half of my SB gameplay, so i can try to review it and improve.  Although, i'm not convinced there is any reasonable way to defend against a competent pass on the run style-QB who essentially rolls out of the pocket almost immediately and is noticeably faster than any of my pass rushers, especially post-fatigue bug/glitch, where i'm stuck running the big boys on D-line.  Best case scenario, i'd hold opposing Vick to 6 or 8 yard gain before shoving him out of bounds, assuming my coverage was holding up.  I don't know if he had some type of Playmaker ability to help his dudes get open during scramble drills, or if it was simply my squishy Cover 4 Quarters coverage, but by the second half he had essentially figured me out and stops became difficult.  Defense really showed up in the first half, it's highly unusual for me to hold an opponent to zilch.

I like the detail in your posts. I think it adds a lot to your perspective. I guess for me it goes back to the saying "catch a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish you feed him for life". The how you came to the conclusion can be just as important as the conclusion itself. 

I'll definitely have to give pick artist a try. Peppers and Moss both play amazing for me with the free lurk artist. Not sure I have all the discounts I need to really make it viable though.

Do you remember which Vick it was? If it was the field pass Vick, he gets backyard qbs which in addition to HRM makes your receivers react better to playmaker. As someone who still uses that Vick, it can be pretty good even if you stay in the pocket with it. I know I should probably upgrade to a SFL qb at some point. But that Vick plays well enough for me I have a hard justifying spending coins on a qb when a free one is playing well for me.

Speak of that, I've basically been a Set Feet Lead-Truther, running around being overly pushy, insisting folks are missing out if they're not using velocity ability on their QB...

Then I spent two days with my childhood hero Joe Montana free S4 at a mere 92 OVR. I started to think I was going a little bonkers. Master Tactician, Gunslinger + Gift Wrapped for a steep 7AP, but my goodness is Traditional 1 release was absolutely fire. I won two or three H2H games in a row and started getting a little full of myself. Not since first acquiring SFL on Kurt Warner a while back had my passing attack felt so lively.

Offense is feeling a bit stale lately, but I can't move on until I master the basics. Meta is often the meta for a reason. I try to at least understand the basic concepts, even if I'm terrible and inconsistent attempting to apply them. Keep on trucking. No stamina loss is gonna be nasty no huddle nightmare, eh?
