Preaching to the choir, my good man. So sad, but oh so very true. Our only hope at this point is that EA is so full of themselves that they don't think they need to renew their exclusive contract / licensing deal with the NFL.
I signed up for simulation fatball... this has been anything but. Our professional athletes need abilities on both sides of the ball (Gift Wrapped on offense, or Pick/LurkArtist on defense) just so they can catch the damn ball. EA gave up on trying to actually fix this and has basically admitted they have no idea how to program their way out of this mess of spaghetti code they've got on their hands. It's not possible to rework the entire game in a single calendar year and that's exactly what needs to be done, otherwise we'll just continue to be spoon-fed this constant stream of low-effort, recycled bullshit time and time again.
Sadly, the only solution i've found is to simply walk away -- yet here i am. Because what other simulation NFL experiences can we go enjoy? Unbelievable. So bad.

The NFL has no idea they're missing out on an entire generation of kids who would otherwise grow up LOVING the NFL, based purely off Madden alone. Instead, we get this bullshit casino for kids and adults aliek.
Unfortunately, at this point, i've struggled to simply walk away -- seems i've become a full blown MUT-junkie. Best I made it (i think back during S2 when i first tried to "quit" this buggy ass mess) was perhaps 4 or 5 days. Which was beautiful at the time, but obviously didn't stick. I've tried NFL Pro Era on PSVR2, doesn't hit the same. I very much enjoy the concept of building our own squads, but EA prioritizes all the wrong things and doesn't give a fuck about us, the average consumer / player base. This game is designed for the 1% of whales who will keep spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars each and every week. I've had more weak moments than I care to admit... yet here i am.
Someday i'll start a MUT-addict style support group. Not only am i the president of hairclub for men, i'm also a member. Maybe. Might be dating myself with that reference. Or i'm kidding, this game is beautiful, no problems, i'm just being a grumpy old man. BLECH.

Can't stop, won't stop. 😝 No, but seriously... finally wrapping up my wr0k-day. Off to actually try and play this damn game. Carry on, gentlemen. /rant OFF
I agree. Not even gonna waste my time explaining🖕🏼
You know it's bad when you rage sell/quicksell entire team, don't play for 3 days, than tryna explain to your wife why buying 3 big bundles helps you get your team back. This the only game that makes me act like a crackhead.

I smell ya, brother. I was forced to have an uncomfortable conversation with my wife, "Hey baby, i was a bit irresponsible with our finances (again)." I know that there's barely any organic pass rush in the game this year, but i saw that Nick Bosa LTD last week/end and went total bonkers crakkhead style behavior, burning through hundreds of thousands in Training hoping to pull him, ultimately talking myself into an array of ridiculous shit. Similar scenario when CMC dropped a while back.
Although the MUT gods were smiling on us this week, as a small consolation prize, they gifted so many in the community a Megatron, which dropped from my 3rd or 4th 78k coin pack. Which i would NEVER suggest anyone open coin packs, but i heard he was popping out left and right, so had to try my luck. Voila. Megatron almost certainly a better card/position, but i'd still probably trade him straight up for Bosa, if possible... because Bang Bang, Niner Gang.
Good luck, stay frosty out there, fam. I'm going to let my EA+ subscription expire before this vicious cycle repeats itself.
I stopped playing halfway through 22 and all of 23 and came back last month finally, after wanting to play with friends, which is about the only fun thing with MUT. It’s literally the same game from 22. I doubt this game will improve until a huge chunk of people stop playing or EA loses money significantly. I took up other hobbies and other games and am now a reading adict. There’s a way out of Madden, but it sucks because it’s the only Football game out there. I’ve found other games to play and have fun doing them, Madden I currently am doing purely the daily’s and that’s it. I really hope this game gets better, but if it didn’t after 2 years ( and I heard this was supposed to be the better than ever year or something like that) then I doubt it ever will.

That was me in 2016. 1st mut and was irresponsible. Wife and I had many conversations and that incident was a huge wake up call. Good luck to you and let's hope ea breaks before they break us.

Very well said.
I used to think that the league might tell EA that it's time to get their shit together or else the contract is off, but they only care about money as well! The Peacock exclusive playoff game is proof.
