How do you report someone for in-game behavior?

I'm stuck with a dude in PS5 Tournament play. He went AFK or knows he's too bad to play and proceed through gameplay alone, so he's just taking penalty after penalty and there's no auto-kick for griefing apparently in tournament play. I don't know karate. Typically I would expect 3 penalties in a row to disconnect the griefer. /sigh

Is it possible to report someone from in-game? I'm not finding anything. PlayStation tells me to mute them and only Madden option I found was to report an offensive name.

What a bunch of crap. Eventually dude quit, 14-0 me in the 4th quarter, but it took nearly 45 minutes of waiting to get here. Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. Can't let the scumbags win. 🤬 Aargh.

Doh, so many disconnects and buggy ass Tournament play on PS5. I got 1st, but I feel terrible. We got disconnected almost immediately after seeing both "top 3" player cards from each squad (which were are blank / greyed out, because EA gonna EA uggh). And somehow through sheer luck they gave me the 🏆.

That sucks, feel terrible for my opponent. But also for myself and anyone dumb enough to try those game modes. Don't think we even get anything from it. Oof.

That's wack, just play the rpo spammers in seasons bud. I ran a game today using only RPO read flat wheel from deuce close and boy would you be surprised at the results of that offense if done even a little bit correctly. I wish I would've streamed it

Hot damn, well thanks for this guidance and pro-tip.  I tried to take a few days off, was ridiculously frustrated -- trying to reframe my thinking and be a bit more casual about my approach here.

What playbook you running these days?  I'm still on Phillie, despite starting the year with NY Jets (considered going back).  Although lately the insta-sheds up the middle are causing havoc with my Singleback Wing Slot (under center) formations.  Can't even get a typical three-step drop to quick pass the RPOs before i'm swallowed up by defenders.  I'll glance at Deuce Close this evening.

Any specific adjustments or what's the order of your reads on this Read Flat Wheel play?  Thanks again for the heads up.

I've already gotten two flags, for illegal man downfield on my tackle to the strong side of the field.  Happened once normal, once flipped.  Not sure what i'm doing wrong, other than holding the ball and waiting for the play to develop.  Seems i need to invest a little time labbing this one up.  Appreciate the suggestion, much obliged.

Is hard to stop if you don't know what you're doing but I don't know if I could run it all game... just doesn't seem like fun....

But not ba lot of people can stop it..

I saw Henry shut a similar play/offense down real quick in eliminations for the latest tourney. It was actually banned from MCS tourney play last year

Sorry guys but because this  play (Read flat wheel RPO)  was banned in MCS play and a lot of players have no idea how to stop it....

Whoa, it was banned in competitive play?  Appreciate the video link, will check that out shortly.  Are there other plays that are not permitted?  First i'm hearing of such things.  Or any other restrictions to be aware of?  I'm just starting to get familiar with the comp/tournament stuff.

"pro-tip" lol you flatter me, I'm probably barely above .500 this year. desyncs haven't helped but I'm past that midseason sweet spot where i win 4/5 games. 

first of all, max protect every play. If its a 3 down line set find your oline with a wide open space in front of him and assign a double team so he doesn't go flying upfield. 

It's still a very quick read. Vs a 2 safety high look, im 80% of the time just running the ball. just don't hit RT/R2 until you hit the open field. 

Vs packed box single high safety, wheel route almost every time. Single high means cover 1 or 3, vs cover 3 the wheel will almost always get outside the curl flat and is an easy 10 yards. vs cover 1, just throw the flat because his man has to sift through the traffic coming from the backside of the formation. 

Now, if you get cover 2 and they are crowding the line, blitzing a lot you can throw post, but you have to throw it right at the break to avoid your lineman creeping downfield. 

vs cover 4 if the user chases that flat route or goes to the side the throw, or qb run is going to you can sneak that backside dig in there. 

I'm still in philly book, I won a gameplan via raffle and I chose astros so i probably won't switch again.

An experienced player will see it and know what to do. A lot of times I will have kind of a probe play, to see if there is something they might not know how to defend against whether it's a big play or an RPO, or a blitz. That I can either rely on or come back to in key situations. I'm usually not an rpo spammer. I think play cool down is one of the best things about franchise mode. However, I had the "complete 30 passes" daily objective and this was a good way to march the ball and complete a lot of passes quickly. Especially with fatigue being off and can just run hurry up every play. After 2 succesful drives in a row I did it the whole game to see what the endgame stats would be.
