How are y’all going about stopping this? Run man and you get corner routed or ran on. Run zone and get spammed on. Madden in its worst state right now. I man up the RPO guy and roll D towards the run but it’s just so un fun on D and O.

Don't pinch your line
Man up the bubble and pass commit
User the run

Usually what I’m doing. What formations are you using with this set up?
i use DB fire, base align, press, hard flats then user the bubble and let CPU take care of the run
maybe i been doing it backwards and should man the bubble and user the run
but then i wonder - should i be cloud flatting for corners since i already manned the bubble?
It was so stupid because I was playing a kid who had Vick with Yac um up at WR and Derrick Henry and Hillis at RB, and his whole team was just RPOs, its so stupid

Oh yeah and it seems like I’m playing these types in every Super Bowl I get to. Its the worst. Hurt people hurt people I guess.
As someone who SELECTIVELY uses RPO plays out of the Packers playbook, what kills my execution (as an admittedly average player) is man corners on the outside receiver, and best done as an audible out of a zone base defense. When I see a soft zone, I'm looking pass. When it goes man - especially with a press - I'm often caught offguard.
Also, excellent point on not pinching the D Line. Most of the RPO runs go outside, not inside. Plus, you want your 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB wide to take on WR blocks on the pass. If you pinch, both your edge and your SubLB/MLB is squatting over the C instead of outside where they're needed.

Are you pinching Dline on dollar? Seems like if you do it invites the bubble and if you don’t you are screwed up the middle.
You’re always gonna have some fluke stuff happen. But more often than not if someone is running an RPO and they see man they’re just gonna run it. I run man 95% of the time and I don’t have an ongoing issue. Every once in a while i may bet burned on but not enough to go out of my way to defend it more. Just make sure your formations are aligned with theirs. If someone is running Bunch, make sure you have your 3 DBs covering the bunch in a close proximity. Bring the safety down if you have to so he’s closer to the LOS.
