Weird Matchmaking

I have a Chiefs TT not quite max but almost done. And I either demolish other TTs or find the credit card teams in the SB event that already have Casper and Blount on top of Kam Burress Kelce Stroud Megatron and have all of the SB masters. I waltz into the SB in the event and then get demolished by better cards. Does anyone else run into the problem and can’t compete with these KOs with being NMS or am I just at a skill wall?

can you effectively freeform away from KOs? Do you throw a lot of picks per game? Those aren’t caused by quality of player. If you can do those things and it’s legit just they have a better team and it’s an advantage (which is absolutely sometimes the case) then I’d save your coins for a few weeks, get a couple million and then upgrade a lot of positions at once

Matchmaking does not exist at all anymore.  It’s all random as far as I can tell.

I don't think EA's matchmaking algorithm cares much about your ovr, in fact it might not consider it at all. A player who just started can be matched with someone with a god squad.

They might use an ELO system for the event. But it's also possible the event just tries to match you with opponent who have won the same amount of games.

If you are talking about the SuperBowl event, yes, you can and will be matched up w/ anyone.  There is no matchmaking/ELO going on in these LTD time events (same w/ house rules).  Just completely random.  

It still will be effect in seasons/WL though.

i have the same issues. Though my theories are different. I feel madden pre chooses who wins or loses. Why I think that is because my players at times do not react like they should or get put into the worst animations. Again just my theory but if I played H2H more I’d probably run into the same issues

There may be something at play. I’ve played god squads whose players react like gold-level cards. 

and my team will play great at times and other times my qb sail passes or my DBs watch  balls fly  over their head.

As usual, player skill is still a factor, but it’s a different story when the team noticeably  plays better/worse without any major adjustments being done

I've been playing lower overall teams and getting demolished in my playoffs. Played a guy who was using 92 Richardson and he wrecked me with 92 DeSean Jackson and K9. Couldn't cover him or get off the blocks

Matchmaking is super weird this year either I play a complete bum with a horrible team, or someone with Elon Musk’s credit card lol idk why

The thing is I get complete bums until the a Super Bowl then it is literally the highest overall possible team everytime I feel like I’m facing a final boss or an MCS tuneup game.

I get people with decent teams but absolutely wax them when my team is evenly matched but I just get outclassed by Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk tag teaming me

I don’t typically throw picks just can’t hold onto the ball ever that Chancellor has been giving me fits since he dropped. I kinda Freeform away but I’m not the best at it it just never seems to matter.

I always get the credit card teams in my SB. Maybe it is matching with people also in their SB bc that would make sense why my opp always becomes super roided in the SB

That’s the problem I run a theme team bc I just can’t afford god squading I fall behind the curve too fast and it’s not as fun for me. I feel like the promo theme teams make the game a million times harder for an actual theme teamer. One 98/99 speed guy is one thing but 8-9 of them is just something I can’t handle.
