How do Player rights work nowadays? Id figure if he is eligible to be in the game it would be a no brainer.

My understanding is that EA has to negotiate for any retired player's rights if they want to use that player in the game. It's also my understanding that EA not offering what the player considers fair value is often the reason an otherwise obvious player won't be in mut.
