96 Mahomes. Best abilities and the LIU token.

I finally pull an LTD after a 2 year drought and its this guy my least favorite player. He does look good and I may use the light it up token to get omniscient for 0ap along with 0ap GS and 1ap HRM. As much as I hate Mahomes his 96 LTD is nice. I know hes getting a 99 SB MVP card but I still think his LTD will be better if you use the LIU token on him. How has he played for you and what abilities do you run with him?

Can't say much about how he plays but I would run some variation of GS, SFL, HRM, GW on him. I would definitely consider using the token for Omniscient or Backyard qb. Considering there's been reports of tokens going missing when you remove them from a player, I would wait and see if the mvp card uses them in anyway or if there's any present card who has an xfactor you like more.

Mahomes looks great. But LIU token is more effective on Karlaftis imo

Mahomes plays amazingly for me. Here is my set-up.

SFL for 4 AP

Gunslinger for 0 AP

Gift-Wrapped for 1 AP

Backyard QB Light-it-up for 0 AP

I mostly play h2h squads with my friends, so I run the offense, otherwise, I think it might be wiser to use it on defense. This Patrick is legit though. I am a huge Chiefs fan though and live in KC area, so I am biased. I'm salty I bought his ltd only for him to get a 99 card that will likely be over a mil. I have a million saved up, but I am not sure I will be able snag him still.

With all the KOs SFL IS better IMO… this year abilities don’t matter other than in QB… a good setup is backyard QB 0, GW 1, roaming 2, GS 0, SFL,  4… 7AP but you get eveey meaningful QB ability.. every Hot route on everyone with the ability to reroute anyone instantly, throw the ball faster in air and throw the ball faster in general, plus a catch bonus for most catches for any receiver.

Yep. I pulled 5 LTDs in madden 21. The LTDs back then weren't nearly as good as the ones now and would QS for 250k I believe. Alot of LTDs would go for cheap considering how much they QS for. So I guess its almost a 3 year drought 😆.

I don't think SFL or PLE is required or needed if they have 99 TP.

Sell it!  Use the Light it Up: Present token on George, your future self will thank you.  I've seen tons of folks running George at DT, however i'm using him on the edge and keeping big Warren Sapp in the middle.

OR, use the proceeds to build yourself a Doug Williams and enjoy that buttery smooth Trad4 release, which will blow Kermit's bad Slinger 2 out of the water... at a fraction of the price.  Congrats on the LTD... they're everywhere from that Superbowl promo.  I went a little berserk burning through an entire binder worth of Training rerolls (chasing that Charvarius Ward, uggh) -- in the process (easily ~1-2M Training spent) i managed to pull:

• 2 Deebo
• 2 George
• 2 Mahomes
• before finally pulling 1 Charvarius Ward

Regardless which you decide to ultimately use, the "god stack" is widely regarded as being THE best starting point for basically any/all QBs; Set Feet Lead (or Pass Lead Elite, velocity abilities are an absolute must if you are trying to compete), Gift Wrapped (don't snooze on this, still very much necessary), Gunslinger and Hot Route Master (or Backyard QB, some equivalent giving you HRM).  Obviously YMMV and there's many ways to approach things, but if not using the aforementioned stack in some variation, you probably should try again.

Mahomes does get a great stack, in the sense that you can equip the god tier abilities for a mere 4AP.  What you do with the other 8AP remains a bit of a mystery to me, nothing else is really required on offense after that.
