Yeah it’s probably not a good idea to play a video game that causes you so much emotional stress. Madden is known for that so many it’s time to switch games.

checking in. you doing OK, OP? one of the hardest things I ever had to learn in life was how to become aware of my emotions, and how to prepare to combat them if necessary.
Sometimes it is necessary to put the controller down and go for a walk. Take a long enough walk that your mind escapes thoughts of Madden. Once you're out of the state of being angry at the game, you can reassess in that moment whether you want to pick up the controller, or if you need to keep away longer tp purge the rest of the anger out. Clean your room. Organize something. Load the dishwasher. Do any small thing that will help you save time later or help your future self.
Once you make that a habit, it's easier to prioritize where this game fits in your life.
Trust me, I've been a gamer my whole life and I'm old now (by gaming standards), so I've been there. You're not a weak or silly person to feel emotions. You may be a weak or silly person depending on how you deal with them.

I appreciate the love and this was honestly just an a low point. I took some time came back have 32 win atm this mode can definitely be toxic be it’s not as bad as I had once thought it was.
House Rules may not be for you heck MUT might not be for you. It’s time to decide if your hobby of playing this game is causing too much distress. There are too types of stress distress and eustress. Distress is the type that is harmful to the psyche and is mentally and physically taxing eustress is the kind that in a match that is challenging makes you dig deep to be better when your down in a match or game. when its distress I’m feeling primarily I turn the game off do something else like the previous poster suggested and turn the game back on when I’m calm and play something else I have played solo battles and challenges only for weeks at a time because H2H got too toxic for me for much needed breaks. If it’s no longer fun don’t put too much of yourself into it if it’s causing distress don’t play at all or play non competitive modes against the CPU. I do that all the time.
