Genkai card questions and best 96ovrBND to get for the 700 star offer?

So it takes 3 elevation high passes for each 96? We only get two of those passes so do we have to  use a 96 champion for the 3rd pass? I haven't used any of the high overall Genkai cards and wasn't targeting any of them other than the free 96bnd from the 700 star pack. Do the x-factors on these cards come already activated in each level? I know the RT gets 0ap SP which is great so im leaning towards him but I do need a WR and DK gets the Yac em up x-factor which I like alot. Im just not 100% sure how these cards work and if x-factors come activated with them.

It's 2 passes and a 96 and there are no x factors lit up

You can use a 93 Genki card  (or a pass, or a 96 Genki) for the first upgrade slot. Then a pass (or a 96 Genki) for 2nd. 3rd slot requires a 96 Genki.
