i know there are theme teams and meta builds but i'm curious if anyone else just be acquiring cards with no purpose other than "i like him"
like i was still running the aka jjettas and legends sean taylor in my lineup until they got upgraded recently. i don't even know their abilities half the time i just buy them lol
I usually do that but this year I’ve been promo theme teams because they’re really op. I always get Sean Taylor, Charles Woodson, Deion and Champ Bailey no matter what because those are my favorite players in real life unless they’re super expensive LTDs but not this year. Taylors last two cards they’re have done him dirty this year.

I also did that till this year like the previous poster the OP nature of promo TT means I’m running it this year but in previous years I went with my favorite player of all time Ladainian Tomlinson if he gets a better card later in the year I might use him. I also like Woodson and Bailey at CB and Sean Taylor at free safety. I am genuinely a fan of certain players not teams at the pro level so I have historically filled my teams with who I like and people to help me be competitive in positions I could care less about.

i did this my first year playing mut……madden 19, had no thoughts of TT or anything like that…..i just got my favorite players at each position and just kept upgrading as the year went along
Yep...I rarely add a card to my lineup unless I enjoy or enjoyed watching them play.

Yup majority Detroit lions mixed with old/new players I just enjoy.
I do a mix of good cards and cards of guys I like.
it's how I play the game. winning with cards I like is more enjoyable. also losing when you have the better team is kinda embarrassing.
