But it costs money to license additional players, EA ain't got time for that noise -- it'd cut into their profits in this all important "make or break" year, uggh. I smell ya, dude -- kind of bogus.
If you still have Donald Penn from Zero Chill promo, you can fully upgrade him to enable FB as secondary position, which should help you achieve the additional team chems, or whatever you need. Thankfully Niners are one of the few teams in the entire league that have consistently used a true Fullback, but i'm doing essentially the same, pairing Juice (Harvest promo version, wish i had TOTY, too rich for my blood) with big Donald. Penn isn't terrible with the full speed boost and team chems bonuses. I'm currently running 25/50 49ers, on my hybrid theme team.

Would you object to an upgraded Franco or Connor Heyward inserted at FB?
Both have cards this year, so they should have no issue upgrading them to current game-play levels.
I think Connor acted as a FB on a few Plays this year, so they could change his position.

I looked earlier after seeing this thread and he doesnt. I only have him at I think 84 overall but there isnt even a locked upgrade slot for such a thing.

The Browns, Cardinals, Colts, Eagles, Patriots, and Seahawks don't even have one FB unless you're counting cards with all 32 team chems.
