Do you guys think it’s needed if the QB has traditional 4 release
I've seen some say trad 4 is fast enough that it's a luxury. Personally, I still use it because there's not any abilities I would rather have on my current squad.
I would test it out in practice mode first and see if you think you can play without it.
i prefer it with any release.

Absolutely NOT necessary on Traditional 4 release. I ran Andrew Luck during Christmas, for well over a month+ without Gunslinger. Currently, i'm running Bo Jackson and i wanted to try and keep that 0AP Gunslinger on him, by using 1AP Master Tactician, but waiting 9 plays for my HRM to finally activate was taking FOREVER and it kept ruining what little rhythm i can find on offense lately.
Anyway, back to your question... i have since reverted to running Bo (QB, also Trad4) and paying 1AP for the actual HRM ability, which forced me to remove Gunslinger. So with or without, he's easily THE best QB in the entire game. Trad4 balls come out quick, even without Gunslinger. You can easily demonstrate this for yourself, if you hop into practice mode, test it by throwing 8 or 10 passess (both right and left, especially deep balls) with Gunslinger, then remove the ability and see how much of a real world difference you notice.
Sure, in a perfect world we'd ALL have Gunslinger all of the time, but Trad4 without Gunslinger is still infinitely superior to Slinger 2, for example, ~150k Doug Williams is an objectively better pure passer than Patrick Mahomes MVP. Sure AP discounts matter, but talking in terms of pure release, it's no contest. YMMV, but i'm NOT running Gunslinger currently.
