I think that's a new gen issue I only have noticed it on my new Series S, not on my old XBox One.

I’ve noticed this as well. Also sometimes my QB will just air mail the slant throw even tho it says perfect accuracy and it’ll go all the way back to the safety and get picked off. With the combo of that and stopping their route, I don’t even throw slants anymore.

I’ve been dealing with both these problems too. Still call slants occasionally but very rarely against zone coverage anymore

Ya super annoying. Noticed the stopping back when the game released and then the air mailing I noticed in the past month or 2.

Like others have said it's been happening since release. I'm not sure if it's understood why it happens. It could just be bugged or it could be a reaction to something the defense is doing or possibly tied to ratings
