Help running the ball

Hello guys, need a little help.

I cant run the ball in madden. I am a passer, so 95/96% plays in my offense (Eagles pb) are passing plays out of gun bunch, bunch strong, trips. But i cant run the ball out of this formations. I can gain 1/2 yds not more. I would like to avoid heavy formations to run the ball cause my oppo would know im running the ball. So i would like to run the ball out of those formations i use also for passing plays... 

Suggestions? I dont press the run button until im in open field

How good is your Oline? It has to be at least decent.

1. Do a head/hat count. Body on a body 

2. I.D. the Mike

3. I have had success with draw plays out of those formations, more than any other run such as base and inside zone.  Inside stuff doesn't seem to activate on draw plays.

4. If someone has inside stuff, double team it. It will limit penetration even on inside zone plays. Some have two inside stuffs, so draw play has worked well in this instance. 

If this doesn't work, well, the sliders are against you. I find running the ball to be difficult on short distances and near the goal line. This is why many use wing sets and run stretch or an option. It  is especially tough to run the ball inside the 5 yard line most of the time. Under center playe seem to work better.  But again, I've found success with draw plays in the formations mentioned. Nothing great, but better than and inside stuff blowing through the line.

In short, draw play seems to be the best run I've found. Even with the sliders against me, that measely 1 yard on the goal or short distance has been converted much more often with draw plays, even if someone has a better DLINE than my OLINE. Before using draw plays in those formations, i gave up on running the ball. 4 and 1 and the 1 yard line? Probably 70 to 80 percent of the time I am not converting because my lineman would not block correctly. Say I ran base...yeah, my pulling OG would somehow forget his assignment or something and ends up just getting in my way ....😆

Check your opponents defensive line for Inside Stuff and No Outsiders, they are on a lot of players now, and if you run an inside zone/outside zone against the ability designed to stop it, you’ll likely get shut down. Also many offensive lineman in the game have free linchpin, its not great but I feel like it helps. Also use your double teams and Mike ID, that helps a lot.

Yep this is the best thing you can do to instantly improve your run game. It's pretty much a guaranteed 3-4 yards unless your opponent is really good at stopping the run

Basic football suggestion here , but have a few really good PA plays, and run those first. This way when your opponent expects pass, you can run the ball down his throat. Strong close is a great formation to start with, as it is very balanced.
