Anyone else notice/have any advice about the blatant problem with it?
As in, they almost ALWAYS call it on YOU, even when its clearly very brief/incidental (often caused by the OTHER player while youre trying to get around him) yet alot of times when it happens to YOU, oftentimes much more egregiously having a massive impact on the play, it doesnt get called?
What gives?
The CPU/AI holding when they're in man coverage is bugged and can't do anything about. If you want to get physical in pass coverage I'll advise don't run into them, run into where the route wants to cross/break and kinda slow down while holding the L2 thingy to control your movement. I get called for PI way more going for an interception than I do jamming all the routes lol.
I HATE the Roughing the Passer penalty the most
I know I don't hit the WUSS as much as I'm called for it LOL
It’s pretty egregious what the CPU can do to mess up my receivers route yet I get called all the time for things I barely do. I don’t play H2H much exception being House Rules and Super Bowl Run and I was annoyed by the amount of people slowing down in my receivers path before a cut or the ball arrives messing up the catch exploiting the way the game is coded without getting called. Yet I get called every time I am bearing down on the QB and he gets it off just in time it’s roughing.
Yeah it does seem pretty inconsistent. Maybe I don't understand the finer points of how it's called in madden. But it does seem like the slightest early touch by the user will get called but the cpu can stand in place to prevent the receiever from running their route and not get called.
The roughing gets me every time but as to the PI, here’s what Ive learned about that, if it’s the end of the game scenario and they’re trying to hail Mary it, DO NOT go back there with your lb‘s at all cuz if they fart on a receiver it’s Pi, if you must user them use a safety or cb , but maybe an actually better idea is to just bum rush the qb with your lbs and just stay out of no fly zone completely
