Been trying to get a little more in depth with my roster and play in general lately. Getting the right people in the right roles, etc. A question came to mind for me.
When I'm running the Dollar formation on defense, with 3 DL do I treat this as a 3-4 with bigger DEs and a NT or am I looking moreso for a pass rush trio?
Always adjust accoring to opponent. If they have Bo, emmit, etc. you NEED a run stuffing DT. if running game is weak OR they are down by more than 2 scores focus on pash rushing with speed re like chase young. If you are forced to choose between the 2 choose bigger DEs and a NT as you can always sub in TOTY micah worse case scenario.
