If they are spamming stretch, blitz the outside db. Use caution when doing this though as any decent opponent will pick up on it if you do it repeatedly.

I run stretch 65x a game and usually people quit before halftime. HAVE NOT LOST IN WEEKS
You’re the problem😂
Cool, but then the next game you play a spread team with RPO, then QB roll outs with corners. You can't ability stop it all lol. Whatever tip to stop one thing with abilities won't stop the next.
My advice. Score more points and hope for turnovers.
I would just get better at tackling

No way you would ever run 65 x a game on me before i shut it down and u quit!!
Here's how you beat a running team:
1st off, pick a scheme and build around it. Have atleast TWO base formations you can rely on - 1 for the run, 1 for the pass. For me its 4-3 Even 6-1 vs Heavy Runners, Nickel Normal vs balanced opponents and dollar in passing situations. Have a reliable package you can default to at all times vs the run. 6-1 is recommended because its very easy to setup, is meta/effective and you get great run shoots at the edge.
2. You need to control the pace of the game. If you get 1st possession of the game make sure you lead a balanced drive and score. You need to make the most of each drive and make sure he can't get into the rhythm of running
3. There's 2 types of run defense - shed defense and gap shooting defense. Learn which formation does what, learn which formations the opponent runs their RPO's from. With that information you can anticipate the exact play the opponent is gonna run.
4. Be aggressive. Dont get frustrated if you give up a few long runs early. Learn the calls and formations the opponent is using and play their tendencies. (Example: If they like to run on 1st down everytime out of heavy formation run commit. ) If they run play action, rush the QB. If they spam stretches, drag your guys out wide and force them to cut inside etc. If you force them to make a move or make contact the odds of that play becoming a big one becomes exponentially lower. Once they expect you to make the same aggressive adjutment thats when you counter adjust and switch things up to create mistakes.

Doesn't that make the game boring though just doing one play?

I'm sorry I mean no disrespect but please do not follow 90% of this. It may work for the poster but you are not playing a computer offense. Yes, most of the players in MUT are going to just play the same way all game. However, if you play someone that thinks through the game and you play like this you will be destroyed.
6-1 are you kidding me? That only means I have to get through the first wave. Those scrawny DBs ain't stopping a truck and if you shoot legs I will just hurdle you. I will actually bait the defense into jumping the RPO and gain 15 up the middle. I will use motion to pull the method up user (always so skitish) off of where I am actually going.
The point is football, when played right, is like a game of chess. Anticipate and outsmart your opponent. Play what works best for you and learn to stop these cheese plays yourself. There are enough copycats, just do you and don't take advice from armchair...whatever they are.

Most of the competitive madden community agrees that 6-1 is the hardest/most annoying formation to run against all year. And personnel wise its the cheapest defense to build AP and coin wise because you dont have to have a lot of expensive DB's. You have to accept that 90% of the community are simply not gonna be a meta level player and aren't gonna play "chess". And if run right, the edge defender would make contact with your RB in the backfield and your Angry Runs advantage would be lost on the next tackler.
Obviously I'm not gonna be able to teach someone E-Book level knowledge on a forum post, hence why I'm providing advice on how to build your squad and scheme it rather than telling people what adjustments and reads to look for. If you want to learn that you should go on YouTube, there's plenty of channels. If you have nothing helpful to add to the conversation you're just yapping. FYI I literally said in my first paragraph find your own formation that works for run and pass.

Y’all smell that? smells like cap
Corner blitzes, and no outsiders helps. Also not being terrible Helps too. Trial and error, Sometimes you just have to learn… madden isn’t that serious or that difficult.

And the dbag award goes to you. Thanks for ruining madden
If u get 2 outside stuff players at le and re, an inside stuff to stop inside runs, spread ur line, then predict which side u think its going to, then if ur in a 4 man front such as tampa 2, bring a safety far to the side, nto all the way tho just between the online and wr or boundary line, then send them on a blitz to catch them from behind.

Not his fault. EA is the one that doesn't know how to properly code a game. Can't be mad at people playing the game EA made
