They're really only useful for having multiple team chems as depth pieces on the roster... at least that's how i've been using them. For a while, it was feasible to get x3 team chems on your players, however, if you've since removed the upgrade tokens, it's not possible to get it back, has since been patched, limited to x2 team chems.
Sadly, no good, let alone discounted abilities makes the cards essentially pointless.

I don’t think so they’re really just there as tt fillers maybe when they’re maxed out they’ll get an additional bucket but I wouldn’t count on it
