I‘ve tried several playbooks but none seem to allow me to sub a DT in on a goal line package. Heard the Miami formation in goal line is it, but thise I’ve tried have no Miami package, only GL Normal. I can sub MLBs in but not DT. Probably user error…what am I messing up?

I honestly don't know, but i pulled this ancient Reddit comment from ~8 years ago and i doubt much has actually changed with the game in that time, so let's say it's safe to assume the process is essentially identical.
If you use the goal-line formation that's in every playbook and sub in the Chief package your RE comes in and plays TE. The Miami package subs in your DT, and the Patriot package your LOLB.
So come out in Goalline formation, as you are doing, but BEFORE calling your play, you'll need to adjust the Packages (sliding the right analogue stick left/right) to adjust that until you see "Miami" -- i think you are extremely close. Enjoy, good luck. LOVE that EA is giving us players/cards that will help directly counter, if not outright cancel X-factors. Bravo.
