I was cleaning out my binder and putting all the cards in the set and mistakenly redeemed - what a dummy I am... If I don't open this pack, will it update with new releases?

Yes, as long as you don’t open it. The cards will be the non-ltd cards that have been released up until the time of opening. If you do open it, even if you back out, then it will not update.

Yup. Accidentally opened mine a week ago and immediately backed out but the damage was done when the 98's dropped last Sunday.
