I just started playing MUT again about 1.5 months ago after a 7 year break.
h2h record is currently 17 wins and 21 loss. Probably won 1-2 playoff games in Rookie and Pro. How the heck am I in All-Star Division? Every time I feel like I should get demoted I just keep getting promoted.
Opponents definitely just get harder and harder, probably 1/3 of my wins come from people rage quitting.
Do I just quit my h2h to get demoted?
so veteran is the lowest you can drop, after vet is all star. if you win 4 games in vet than you get promoted. if you win 5 in all star you jump to MVP if you win 7 in MVP than you jump to legend. all divisons have a criteria for how many you have to win to not get demoted
Division doesn't affect who you play, ELO does. ELO is based on your record. Now EA does intentionally match you up with a higher tier of ELO players in your playoffs (specifically Super Bowls).

Just be careful if you are intentionally trying to lower your ranking or tier -- I cannot confirm this, but recently someone was in the forums for saying they got perma-banned for "cheating" or something, which i assume means they were purposely throwing matches, quitting out over and over in hopes to lower their rank. So i guess my point is, if you want to lose on purpose, at least try to make it appear somewhat close, that you are playing the game and not immediately quitting out.

Yep, was gonna say this. I've definitely seen it mentioned before in previous years.
I've never tanked my record to personally know if it happens. To be honest, I'd just let it ride. Once you've played enough games, you should be matching with people that are relatively close in skill level.

Thanks! I don’t plan to just quit to tank. My opponents probably hate me because I don’t quit even though it’s the 3rd quarter and I’m getting blown out. I just use it as practice against someone better than me to learn.

You are at the correct level for your skills. If your W-L ratio is close to .500.
Trying to face weaker opp, only means you want to beat up on them and run the score or something.

I liek your style, man. I, too, am a glutton for punishment. Although, i'm not above eventually giving up and/or rage-quitting if i'm not feeling it, but typically i try to stick things out for most of the game. It's not impossible to overcome even 21-0 deficits, but i believe that's the largest comeback i've managed to pull off. Four scores in shorter games is a steep hill to climb, i do try to get practice against superior opponent's, however last night i faced this dude who just kept exploiting the sideline throws, no matter how many times i'd knock them out, it'd still end up a completion. Same in the endzone, the ball falls to the ground, but dude still gets a score counted. Buggy ass shit, so stupid.
