this is the worst "sim" football game they've released to date by far. I've never seen stats be so meaningless before and be completely ability/x=factor based. its so awful. dbs with 95+ play rec and spd and coverage wont move unless an ability is on them. this is blitz or super hero football. no where close to sim.

I agree and that's why abilities and x factors need to be removed completely. I don't mind an ability here and there like they had in Madden 17 when Favre was the only one with gunslinger during the christmas promo but they went too far. Like you said, players literally don't do anything unless they have abilities.

the only reason they needed to add abilities is because of how garbage of a company they are with their refusal to invest in the game. I'm not sure what it is or why, but its either because their coding and engine are such garbage they have no way to create players like 2k bball who actually play and do things uniquely. or they just are lazy and wont put the money into the game to create playstyles and outside a qb throwing motion. abilities are their only way currently to make players unique and have any value compared to the next guy.
i usually put my DE on a flat on whichever side they have their HB on and user the middle. ruins their HB cheese and usually get better pressure since they don't know who to pass to after

I think if they did it the way The Show does it, it would be a million times better. Cards in The Show remain relevant all year and even when they have special perks with hitting fastballs or bunting or whatever, it's not OP and you can still use cards without those perks
If you sit in the same defense all game...people are going to throw the same balls all game. Adjust
X and Abilities have def made Madden worse off. Hopefully they realize this and scrap it in the future.

ive never played the show dimaond dynasty, how does it operate for them? also the show invests very heavily into players uniqueness and such, so each one feels and plays differently and their stats mean something.

Lol y'all are funny Trying to make it seem like i don't know anything. I know how defense works but y'all wouldn't spam the same play without those damn abilities or x-factors. That's what takes no skill not anything you're talking about
