...but I see this Ring of Honor promo coming later this week. Should I be waiting for this before upgrading?

Nobody really knows, but yes -- last year RoH was premier content. A bunch of those cards were basically top tier, if not truly best in position. I believe it's intended to be a Ring of Honor specifically for cards that have made a major, lasting impact on Madden... so your guesses are as good as anyone's. Last year it was Deion Sanders, Randy Moss, Lawrence Taylor, et cetera. A handful of which have just recently got cards, so i believe the community is anticipating a new crop of inductees.
I'm totally biased, hoping for Jerry Rice (who was merely a "supporting cast" player last year, which irks me endlessly, there's no universe where Randy had a better career than Jerry) -- this is yet another great example of how the folks at EA Orlando / Tiburon don't know, nor understand their own game. Heck, they can't even get the proper Ed O'Neill, they must have randomly googled something and came up with this linebacker, who is definitely not the same actor that played on Married with Children. This "Ed" should have been a running back of some type, maybe for the Steelers?
If you are bored of other cards and don't mind your team getting potentially worse, you can definitely move on from Bo (and other Combine players). I know there's folks who constantly want to sell their teams, but i would urge you to be patient. EA can absolutely muck things up. We've been waiting for months and still no opportunity to get better cards than what has been in-game since February.

That's good context. Thanks for the reply. Guess I'm sitting on my hands for a few days. I was hoping Cousins would've gotten a better stack than 5 (SFL, GS, HRM, GR) and Peyton with mobility is just too expensive...
Yeah hold off on upgrading/buying new cards until ROH.
in general, it’s best to save coins in the week(s) leading up to a major promo since older cards’ prices will drop
God this community is so pessimistic. ROH will probably have some good players, it’s also just a game, don’t worry too much about it, if you want a new card get it.

I'm drawing a blank, does Run and Gun X-factor also include some type of HRM baked in? I used it briefly with Mahomes MVP, but his card was terrible, i used that way too long, oof. At this point in the game, perhaps HRM becomes more "optional" than a hard and fast requirement. For me, personally, i've been using TE, Slot and WR Apprentices to fill in while i wait on Bo's 1AP Master Tactician to activate (after 9 plays), which gives me 0AP Gunslinger back, perhaps something similar could be done with Kirk Cousins... although Gen2 is kind of average. Definitely better than Slinger 2, but it's really difficult to use anything else after being on that buttery smooth and fast Trad4 release since Christmas.
Peyton sounds cool and all, but they gimped both Niners and Chiefs theme teams, not granting them +1 Speed, which seems kind liek a huge farce... Raiders are the best theme team, how do they get the full speed boost but these do not? Aargh. If you throw a lot of deep balls, Troy Aikman with Slinger 3 wasn't terrible, great discounted ability stack. I used him briefly, before ultimately settling on Bo. I don't want to give you bad advice, but there's potential for 95 or 96s to go into RoH sets, that's probably how i'd be preparing... stock up on set pieces.
