Are 96 AKAs the best investment right now?

I view it as you’ve got two ways to potentially win:

1. ROH lets you use five 96s to redeem the 99 champions. 
2. AKA Crew cards next Monday step up to 99s and you need five 96 AKA cards for sets.

With two potential ways to win, it feels like the risk/reward skews in your favor here at 110k-120k/card.

Thoughts? What’s the downside? Selling them for a 10k loss?

I can imagine that RoH is going to take either half of the cards being RoH 96's or something of the sort. For the 99 AKA's, I think that's a good investment and it doesn't really matter when you do it because they're going to go to 99s eventually anyways. Even if AKA ends or something, promos like the draft past/current are going to take 96s so you'll get the profit eventually regardless. The only question is if the demand for those 99s is going to be worth it, that's prob the biggest gamble.

^This is certainly my concern - similar to TOTY which used a combo of promo and non-promo cards.

I bought 5 for about 575k so here’s to rolling the dice...

Imho it's better to snipe directly when the new promos drop: people will open packs, will find a bunch of lower overalls that are not interested in (96's in this case), will sell for cheap

In this way you also solve your biggest question, how the set will be composed

Last year it looks like the ROH sets had to be high OVR ROH cards, with the exception of the lower OVR Sets.... But yeah, you would eventually be able to use them anyways, so the risk is pretty low...

Same thing happened with TOTY and people lost 30k+ per card
