Come Golden Ticket time, if you make a D-Lineman with lurk Artist, would they animate and grab balls at the line Or since the linemen aren’t in zone, would be be useless? Does the person need to be in a zone?
so much I don’t know.

This is a fantastic question -- i have regularly been running 0AP LurkArtist pass rushers (or hybrid players) at DE for a while, thinking back to Clay Matthews (or similar) Legend card. It's super valuable (to me) for a couple notable reasons; i always hope there will be potential for some glitchiness, wanting LurkArtist to trigger and potentially come down with a swatted ball, in the various tip-drills which appears to be fairly common. Beyond that, which is feasible, but fairly rare in my limited experience... the other primary reason is to give us the ability to change up defensive looks, there are many scenarios where i'll want to send a heavy pass rush from one side or another, USERing a D-lineman enables us to still send 3-4 pass rushers from a single side, while dropping back in max coverage, sort of offering best of both worlds. Not sure if my explanation made much sense, but yes it's cool.
I believe uhhh Ed Too Tall has 0AP LurkArtist baked into his card, as a pure pass rusher. Ohhh, sorry i guess it's an X-factor, not regular ability, but the premise is essentially the same: https://www.mut.gg/abilities/lurk-artist-aka-crew/
I think there's massive potential, also used Bo Jackson this way for a while, before ultimately retiring Donald Parham Jr. as my primary USER, in favor of Bo for his 0AP Secure Tackler (+LA).
For spies it’s great
For zone dogs it’s great

Great reply, and thanks for making me feel smart with a fantastic question haha

I mean, it can seem a little counter-intuitive, having a pass coverage ability on a pass rusher, but there really are SO many opportunities for tip drill scenarios, it makes a lot of sense.
And I never really considered having a fast edge rusher to usr control, but all the good comp players will regularly drop back into coverage from DE spot to charge up looks, or get creative blitzing heavy overloading one side while still having 7-8 drop back into max coverage.
Gosh, wish I had been as clever as you, I just copied what I saw other people doing and thought, that's genius! 👊
