Lmk your favorite defense, why it’s your favorite, and what playbook you use and why. Personally I’m a BNOG (Big Nickel Over G) guy. Most exotic coverages in the game, the ability to blitz when needed, and It has the best gap shoots. I use it out of the Raiders playbook for 3-3 odd, 4-3 even 6-1, and 3-4 odd as good complementary blitz packages.
Main defense
Usually I just stick in nickel 24 on cardinals playbook it has a good mix of zone coverages and blitzes. If someone is exposing me in that I’ll switch it up to 34 sometimes but rarely
Base Nickel Cover 3 shell.
Make individual adjustments on the fly with the goal of getting the opponent to throw it to where ever my User is standing on the field.

So I’ve been wondering this for a while now, why not just run 4-4 split. It still has the same coverage and adjustment but your olb are naturally closer to the Line of scrimmage making blitzing better.
Dime cover 2, everyone is pass happy, so I make adjustments based on what they do to me and hope/wait for a mistake…a bend not break defense
3-3 cub
Love rushing 5 with 3 inside rushers.

That’s a lot like BNOG but I like the coverages out of BNOG better because of the safety adjustments. Dime is pretty good at generating slot blitzes tho
I really liked using 3-3 and 3-3 Wide, but EA killed it this year.
The base Cover 2/Tampa 2 out of 4-3. I'll run other stuff but thats been my go-to lately.
34 odd for me 3 inside stuff, 2 no outsiders, Lbs 4 lurk artist with 2 with mid zone,(bo jack x factor dual threat and howley xfactor universal cov. light it up), 2 cbs flat zone ko and deep out ko, 2 safties deep zone ko and pa

Biggest reason for me personally is spacing.
4-4 is too compact I lose contain too fast on outside runs away from the User

ive took a few looks at it but do me is just ain’t doing what I think it’s capable of.
BNOG, mostly SS Blitz with the slot manned up on someone. Usually a streak if I see it. Works well against most people when my dudes don’t dumb out.
Cover 4 when they're abusing corners.
Cover 2 mostly stock in the red zone. Gets cooked sometimes but I get a lot of picks from the vert hooks.
My opponents are either Dollar, or 6-1 exclusively. It gets old and boring even when I’m destroying it, which definitely isn’t always if other dude knows what he’s doing.
