Tips for the Mut Draft Mode if you are struggling

Hope for a playbook you know.

Stack your secondary.

Get a good QB.

Run the ball and clock when tied or leading

When you go up by a score don't be afraid to take a risk on D for a turnover that often times leads to your opponent quitting.

Kick the FG

Don't give up the deep ball, keep 2 safeties over the top.

User match up against their best offensive player they picked. Could be TE could HB could be WR. Help to that player. Make them throw to a 88 overall.

This game mode is really great. It requires paying attention, changing looks, drops, formations, etc.  on defense and thinking about play calling on offense, reading defense. it's so much fun and has renewed my love for the game. Abilities  ruin Madden. EA give us hard core players an option all year to compete without abilities. I've had so many close games that have come down to the wire. I;ve completed one 5-0  run and currently 4-0 with Rich Eisen!

Last two drafts I haven't had any RB option. Has this happened for you guys?

Same, RBs arent very common. At least in the drafts Ive had. Think I am on 10 or 11 now.

happens often and its a huge disadvantage to be without. eisen is so slow its almost a negative to have him out there lol

Auto-loss when your opponent has a stacked secondary, and you kept getting to choose between two linemen and a 91 OVR tight end.

This mode is great for people who were late to MUT, or who weren't particularly good at MUT. I wouldn't dare say it requires more skill. It's just a different method for mismatching rosters of varying capacity.

If I actually was drafting against the user I played against, I probably would have no complaint here.

I entered 8 times and didn't win a single game and I am good at Madden too.

What are the rewards for a single win and how long does it take in real time to complete the draft & game?

I’ve avoided the mode entirely until now because it seems like it would be a pretty miserable time suck but maybe I'm wrong.

The draft is fairly quick. As quick as you want it to be. You're drafting against random chance, not other users.

I was super happy to get Anthony Richardson, Eric Dickerson, and Roddy White in the draft's first rounds. However, I got junk everywhere else, with only 91's at OLB. My first opponent stretch runs and Read Option's with Jackson down the field, and only a handful of pass attempts, most of which weren't damaging.

The user was fairly skilled, but my defense provided zero real pressure, and he was able to get touchdown after touchdown. A James Cook I drafted late because my other two options were a weaker quarterback and a weaker receiver ended up getting slotted ahead of Dickerson on most plays, adding to the amount of distracting minutiae accompanying yet another run with a completely unfamiliar playbook.

How bout a choice between a 97 rolb a 97 lolb or a 94 mlb?  Doesn’t it stand to reason that the outside linebackers don’t play every down while mlb‘s play almost every down. So if you get a  97  here you’ll be shorting yourself a high rated player actually playing more often than not?
