HELP: Weekly Wildcard - Veterans?

To my own detriment, I've continued to mostly ignore WW content, but now I'm stuck. Allegedly I need any 96 OVR Weekly Wildcard Veteran player... trying to complete the Nicky Bosa set, but it will only allow Xavier McKinney or Dallas Goedert.

So these need to be from current week's release or something? What a crock of shit, guess I'm stuck. I even did the 96 OVR WW set, but none of these were available there either. 

I'm screwed without AH access, are there any creative ways to go about acquiring or building the correct WW? I'm coming up blank through entire WW sets and catalogue, have I missed anything? Suggestions? Thanks for any insight. 🫥

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure I read here earlier that set is broken and it wants unfortunately those particular cards

Weekly Wildcards say ANY Veteran, Rising Star, Heavyweight, or Specialist they do not mean any they mean that weeks version, I fell for it again this exact set. I forget that it happened building sets for the Nike champion. It is very unfortunate and misleading wording

I had the same issue last week in trying to get a 98. It seems it becomes *any* after the current week. Maybe different now since they are 99s. My guess is it keeps up demand on bundles for the FOMO crowd.

Me too I don’t remember if I was building out a 97 or 98 but the Any needs to be replaced with clearer language. Thats All I’ll say there I am trying not to attribute to malice what I can attribute to an error in wording.

Set works fine and you need that overall of the specific group it’s in for it to work

I had a similar issue when I tried to complete the Darnell Washington or Minkah Fitzpatrick set.

I had picked a player from creating a lower set that was the correct OVR to add to the Washington or Fitzpatrick set, but it wouldn't let me add that player. 

It only let me add certain cards to the set. I think it was Benito Jones or Ryan Ramczyk. 

Now I know to open the set and search the players it allows me to add before I do anything. 

I am not even sure how I go about getting Ogunjobi yet. I hope I get him by creating a 93 WW set, but who knows? LOL

None of these in-game descriptions ever make any dang sense, oof.  I thought, at least briefly, i was being remedial and surely must have missed something, but nope -- EA really says "any" and actually meant these two very specific 96 OVR cards, that we're unable to build or buy.  I ripped all 15 or whatever WW packs, no dice.  Built the 96 OVR WW Set hoping to acquire the Xavier or Dallas options, notta.

Really unfortunate, but there's so many other issues with this bad game that it's hard to even get upset at this point.  I'm the asshole for expecting anything to work as described... or at all.  Good luck with your Minkah set, hope you're able to get that figured out.  Seems i'll be without Bosa for ye ole Niners theme team, how unfortunate.  LT probably better edge rusher anyway, but i'm a sucker for anything and everything Scarlet & Gold.

I'm such a buffoon.  I thought (more than once) i had figured out how to acquire this Nicky Bosa for the theme team, aargh.  Crazy that we can't even build Xavier or Dallas from the 96 OVR Weekly Wildcard set.  How truly unfortunate, but i guess it's small potatoes given the sheer volume of bugs and issues with this game.

yeah I picked up a Dallas Goedart for 170 yesterday the one time I built him after acquiring 3 other veterans that weren’t right for the set though they were 96 veterans

Lucky you... i would have gladly paid 270k for either -- lack of auction house is really cramping my style, aargh.  Enjoy, lemme know how that new Bosa plays for you.  At least i can live vicariously through you.  Perhaps someday they'll let us use all those WW tokens on something, Bosa will be the obvious choice for me, personally.  I doubt there will be more/better/different Niners options, which is all i'm basing that on.

He plays pretty well, he gets off blocks decently and is one of the better ends, I however am not using that TT I have 30 combine and motivator boosted Orakpo plays better for me but not by a whole lot so he would be good for 49ers team.

At the moment i've got LT and JJ Watt coming off the edges, both with LurkArtist, although i still have yet to see that activate in any actual game scenarios, but i've been banking on it eventually happening.  May need to shift gears and replace that with Secure Tackler, or something which might be a bit more useful.

I'm a little miffed that all the other theme teams get +3 SPD, while Niners (and Chiefs) are restricted to +2 SPD +1 ACC -- i get that we were blessed during Superbowl time, but that was well deserved, IMO.  Even if Kyle BananaHands did ultimately muck it up and choke away yet another double-digit lead in the big dance.  Ahhh well.  Thanks for your review and feedback on his initial performance.  I usually am decent about not FOMO'ing into these new releases, but couldn't help myself.

I was thinking of giving Bosa a try.

I like to user Defensive Ends to torment the opposing QB's!

96 SPD, 99 BSH, 99 PMV & 99 FMV looks amazing!
