Missing wide open passes. Nerfed?

Sorry I'm late but there is a chance. Doug Wiliiams' 95 SB card supposedly got nerfed and was sucking.

But more than likely you're getting unlucky, pressured, or not releasing in the green or blue (If you're on Next Gen).

I'm not convinced these shadow-nerfs actually happen, but i wouldn't put anything grimy past EA.  If you are using Bo (QB), it probably makes sense to apply a "Fearless" strategy card on offense, to ensure that you get the TUP (Throw Under Pressure) stat above the minimum 90 threshold.  I was using a purple (Epic) +3 item that got Bo to 91 TUP and he played as well as any other QB.  The game is wildly inconsistent, especially if your opponent(s) is/are running anything liek Edge Threat Elite on their pass rushers, can absolutely impact success.

I feel like I notice it with speed and acceleration on some cards. Like they lost that edge to get to the outside and burn.

Funny you mention that, I thought the exact same thing last evening while trying to rumble around the edges with Dickerson.  I couldn't believe how quickly TroyP. managed to close the gap and take me down to save/prevent a touchdown.  There's no way +/ 1 speed makes THAT significant of an impact.  Bizarre.  EA logic?

Pursuit rating is king. I've seen 95 speed Harrison Smith walk down my 99 speed McFadden down the sidelines lol.
