how to play deep defense?

I thought cover 4 was the best type of play to stop deep passes but whenever I play cover 4 the WRs seem to get soo open how do i fix this?

Cover 4 puts your 2 cbs in deep outside blues but there’s too many ways to manipulate them form going deeo

i usually run a cover 2 shell and put the middle hook zone into a deep blue to create a cover 3 out of a cover 2 look and bait the deep middle to looking open
