Is Momentum shift worth it?

Im so goddamn sick of angry runs, I know that LT gets momentum shift and im wondering if its worth it or not, i dont use any of the ROH guys right now so i could care less about the token, 4 AP is a little steep for perry but he is an option and so is donald. is it just more worth it to have secure tacklers? even though i cant get enough, idk what to do.

I send corners and blitzes and gap shoots and it feels like its all worthless against these stupid ass auto break tackles with people who run RPOs, any suggestions on just how to stop it, as well as if i should bother investing in momentum shift? thanks

I can say it quells my X factors. The ones I use aren’t that impactful however for this reason.

Definitely worth it if you don't like facing angry runs or any other annoying xfactor. But I wouldn't use it on LT. His requires two hit stick tackles to reactivate which basically never happens if you use him as a pass rusher. You really need it to reactivate if you want to shutdown xfactors all game. So Donald and Perry are really the only options right now.

You might have similar success stopping angry runs if you run enough players with secure tackler/tackle supreme.

Just get secure tacklers. Most of you dudes dont run the ball any way. It's all RPO bubbles and double post spammers every h2h game.

Honestly it depends on your defensive playstyle. For whatever reason, I tend to not have as great of difficulty compared to some when it comes to stopping angry runs, so for me it is not an essential, but if the vanguard/angry run/escape artist scheme is giving you fits, then it is indeed worth it.

I have tried and tried, but eventually gave up (with Lawrence Taylor). Reliably getting two Hit Sticks in a single game to re-activate LT's Momentum Shift feels liek a steep uphill climb, thereby negating any benefits from it. You could keep LT on the bench, then drop him in quickly if/when you find yourself in a precarious situation, perhaps around the goalline, or whatever, but unless/until you're able to reactivate it, we're only delaying the inevitable.

That being said, if you can catch an opponent by surprise, it's definitely useful. I couldn't figure out why my Tyreek was inactive, no YAC `Em Up a couple evenings ago, took me a play or two before i realized my opponent had both Donald and the Fridge.

The way i'm attempting to counter all the Angry Runs is by simply adding more Secure Tacklers and/or Tackle Supreme players. At the moment, three out of 4 D-line pass rushers have the improved tackling ability, both SUBLBs / MLBs have it, as well as one of my DBs (Chris Harris Jr.) -- getting more of these is probably the correct answer. We have so much AP on defense lately, it's not that difficult to justify 4AP, but please keep me posted if you have better success or attempts with getting LT's Momentum Shift to become reliable, or effective.
