Does seeing your opponents top three players to start the game add value too MUT?

I remember when there were Maddens that did not have this feature, and was curious to know if any one prefers the old style. 

I will also note, sometimes I gain some insight by seeing my opponents top three, as I am able to get an idea of what there playstyle/decision making  may be like. For instance, if I see the 99 Kam in my opponents top three, I learn that I am playing some one who is dumb enough to spend 4-5 mill on the second best SS/Third Best Sub LB in the game. 

Curious to see what other people think.

I'm honestly not paying attention during the intro screen most times. I'll find out at kickoff. .

I pay attention to the positions. Seeing three CB 99's is very different than seeing a 99 scrambling QB with a 99 HB and WR. Granted both of those can still be true at the same time but it lets me focus on team strengths and how to attack and defend.

It's pretty much useless.   It would be a lot better if they have a summary of what x factors and abilities each opponent has instead of showing top 3.  Or show tendencies via average game stats.   If someone is a heavy runner vs passer, man vs zone etc

When it works, I would say it provides a little value. At the very least you get some insight into what abilities your opponent uses. Usually, it's enough to determine if your opponent at least understands the basics of what abilities are good. Admittedly, that's more valuable earlier in the year and at lower levels of h2h. But I know my top 3 is channing crowder(MLB3 for me), hester(KR), and Bobby Wagner (mlb 1). So they can be kinda janky and my top 3 isn't really reflective of my most valuable players. It's not useless but it's also not valuable enough that I care if it doesn't load

some people have 3 high end cards and the rest of their team is trash. its hit or miss 

the thing I look out for is if a free card shows up in top 3 (madden, jefferson, etc).  usually indicates lower ovr team

I don't give a single shit about my opponents top 3

Since I finally upgraded Wagner, and I now have 3 MLB as my top three... 😅🤣😅🤣

Am I only have top 2 QB intro screen

Maybe it’s just an issue on current gen but sometimes it will show players from my team that arnt even top 3 for both teams and then other times it will show my backup players. I’d say 50% of the time it actually shows what it’s supposed to. But when it does work i think seeing the abilities my opponent is running on their top 3 helps

You can tell ALOT by what their top 3 players abilities are. If I see bottleneck, lumberjack, outmatched,leap frog I know my opponent has no idea what they're doing w their abilities lol

doesnt matter to me cause so many times they have a top 3 of low ovr cards(at this point of the game imo) and then they still have a goon squad behind it
