Of course but that doesn't mean it's not cheese

If that lb sprints out, I’m running the qb…
lol exactly what's wrong with the game, and ppl actually think they are good
Glad you’re winning more. It’s a good defense

It’s not as broken as you think. A good user can use his 1 (MLB) to user the whole field and obv 6 linemen means a great run defense. it’s not for everybody but if your a good user and can occupy the whole middle of the field it’s a great defense, sorta like upgraded nickel cub.

It’s just the insane abilities in mut that make it cheesey
Could those who call the defense cheesy please kindly explain what it does that other defenses do not do? Is it a matter of where the defenders line up relative to offensive players?
Is it not rather that the other defensive alignments consistently work so badly? I've never run a 6-1 playbook, but it's frustrating to come out with other legitimate NFL run defenses (4-3, shifted toward where the run is expected to go), and then watch my defenders consistently get sealed off from the start (even though they have run-stop abilities) due to terrible pursuit angles (even though at this point PUR on most defenders is at or near 99).
There's nothing worse about this game than the futility of getting gashed by an offense you've already correctly anticipated. If I know what's coming, why can't I get my guys to stop it? So maybe I should start playing 6-1 because it works.

it Is easily exploitable. My biggest gripe with it is that it is literally 2 adjustments and for your average player it’s tough to go against. For your better than average players, this defense will get abused.
my gripe with it, people will come out and run nothing but this, and then when I abuse it with RPO’s, I get some of the nastiest messages in my inbox.
I played 6 1 myself last night.
The right use of slant routes can beat it
Threat detector doesnt seem to work though on the outside LBs...I guess Threat detector only works on people not at the line of scrimage?
So far, the answers suggest that 6-1 then does get beat by the offenses that should tend to beat it. Which is football, not cheese. But perhaps there’s something else here I haven’t heard yet.
As for a couple of adjustments, well, it’s nice to be able to come out in a defense and not have to make 17 inputs before the snap to get my defenders to perform a crude imitation of what I’m asking them to do: Stop the run.

See, that’s not fun for me.I rarely play H2H but I do everyone’s muted and I never check my inbox I’m average to below so I have a god squad out there to compete and I take it easy on the budget teams but people either quit the second what they always do doesn’t work because my team is too good for it or they try extra hard and get super sweaty to try to humiliate me for having a top tier team its toxic as heck.
