For the guys out there trying to stop this insanity ,what formation do you guys use to stop this nonsense?Any help will be appreciated.
Do you have a specific play in mind? Typically ideas on defense are the same/similar for many RPOs. Stock formations that tend to do a really good job against these RPOs might be something along the lines of Nickel 3-3 Cub, specifically this Tampa 2. However, if you are facing a competent opponent, they'll read the coverage and proceed to burn you with corner routes, which basically require you to get out quickly to USER defend that.
However, any type of (shaded down) Hard Flat for the outside corner, combined with the Slot defender Manned up against the intended target will take that option away, then you'll need to focus on shooting the gap with your user to defend against the run. Lots of folks are running straight up Man to Man, which also will do a decent job here.
Heck, even straight up Dollar Spinner (or DB Fire 2) with the Slot corner also manned up on the target receiver should reliably shut this down. Don't forget to make sure you have enough (if not all) defenders equipped with either Secure Tackler or Tackle Supreme, otherwise it's going to be a long day trying to make solo tackles.
Before long you'll be turning this nightmare into some Pick-Sixes for the good guys. Hope that helps, that's (Tampa 2 from 3-3 Cub) what i've been leaning on lately.
