We do not even need to have this debate, if EA was just smart enough to implement a "mercy rule".

have a good one.

Forreals it's bout stats now

That really isn’t much of a lead. I came back and won down 32 not too long ago, lol. OT W going for two after they went for one.
Run the clock out when you have the ball.
Not going to quit unless somewhere to be or family time comes through the door.
and yes I am a 1%er in both All-Madden and reg seasons.

facts. some games you can tell are over just by how you feel, those are the ones i leave. otherwise i’ll stay the whole thing

Run solo battles on easy if you need stats…
xXcGilmer18Xx said:I guess I shoulda been more specific. there are times when I go down 10-0 and it’s off of a bad break or something, then there are times where I go down 10-0 where I can just tell my opponent is better than me.
when you know you are outclassed, move on. i‘m with you on there being a lot of game left, but there are games where you just know you arent gonna win.
Yeah ngl I've had hella games where I knew my opponent wasn't allat and that I could find a way to break thru down 14 or down 10, and then there are other times when I know I got bailed a few times and its a 3 point game and I'm thinking of quitting lol. It's all situational, I've had my fair share of comebacks as well, but I usually don't ignore that feeling when I know I have no chance early.

I totally agree with you, but I was down 14 in the first quarter in the playoffs and ended up winning

Lately my strategy is dependent on whether there chirping/being a jerk, or if they just genuinely have less skill. If they have less skill and just refuse, to quit, then I will go on my phone and just scroll twitter and let my cpu play.
However, if they are being an a-hole, then I have a whole set of cheese blitzes/rpo's set aside for those type people which are designed to break their will and make them quit. Occasionally I run into the odd a-hole who is just a gluttonfor punishment, but most of them do quit after I start cheesing them to death.
Honestly though a solution to this would just be to give the person who is up by let's say 5-6 scores after the 3rd quarter, the option to mercy their opponent and claim the W, or continue destroying their opponent for another quarter.

Do you know how many second half comebacks I've had down 21? If you can't adjust, then quit. If you can, come back and win. Those are the most exciting and satisfying games when you do complete a comeback.
In the end, to each their own.
He was just running because all he care about is completing objectives. It ain’t all about the win in MUT.

Bravo, i went down 21-0 last evening and was struggling to even move the ball... initially. Nearly bailed out, but it was taking ~1-2 minutes to even pair with someone for MUT Champs, so I decided to tough it out. At the end of the first quarter, i got the dreaded "mercy" in-game message, saying how much I was outclassed and I should consider giving up.
Managed to claw my way back, put up 21 points in the 2nd quarter and was feeling pretty confident heading into half all tied up. Clutch come from behind victory. Took nearly an hour to get through that hell game, but we did it. Agreed, few things in Madden are as exhilarating as a huge come from behind dub.
Honestly 24-7 is definitely not out of the game I wouldn’t quit then plus he’s probably trying to complete challenges for the passes you‘re just being childish thinking everyone has to do what you want them to do well guess what the world doesn’t work that way
