peatrick said:Thank you for correcting my poor terminology. For a while, I was using Relentless on Aaron Donald, which paired nicely with DoN, always keeping him at max pass rush points. All your information is so spot-on correct, basically detailing my exact experiences.
Most of my pressures are coming from quick A-gap blitzes (using mostly 3-3 Odd lately), or the B-gap from overloading the weak side in 3-3 Cub or simple disengage when rushing with four down linemen sets. I was only interested in Defensive Rally again all of a sudden due to the overwhelming amount of ability options we now have. Who do you prefer as your primary pass rushers? I've got Aidan Hutchinson (LE), Mario Williams (DT1), John Randle (DT2) and Jevon Kearse (RE) with Junior Seau & Dave Robinson (although i keep confusing him with the Spurs center and i want to continually call him "David" heh) as my outside linebackers. Of course Caleb Jones as my primary USER.
I also bring in Ray Nitschke in the rare event i need to run 3-4 Odd, this is how i try to defend against the heavy run formations. Good to know there is some tangible benefit to stacking Defensive Rally.
All good man, not trying to correct you, I just wanted to be clear in case someone else reads through this and gets confused about it. Also hate to bring it up now but I believe you are referring to Relentless on AD, I agree it was a nice pair with DoN and I think he’s still pretty useable, there’s just some better options now.
I’m still using D-rally on a couple players that get a million abilities since I’m using DoN on most of my line.
Right now my pass rushers are as follows:
RE Kearse
DT1 Mario Williams
DT2 Sapp
LE Peppers
ROLB Dave Robinson (SubLb1)
LOLB Aidan Hutch (Rush RE)
Hutch is always on the field for his Momentum Shift and he’s actually been decent as a pass rusher. I think Peppers and Kearse have played similar with their pass rush, both very consistent and Peppers almost always gets the INT’s on tipped passes/QB sack throwaways. Mario gets good pressure too and still gets to the QB at DT in Dollar against pocket passers. Sapp I just put into the lineup after finally deciding to take him from the BND pack so I haven’t had enough time with him yet.
Before Sapp I had Klecko next to Mario and before Mario it was Klecko and Randle. Both of those guys were great, still keeping Klecko in case I want to use him over Sapp if I can’t get Sapp going.
Fun fact:
David Robinson (Spurs) was actually my brother’s favorite basketball player. He had Spurs everything and even had a plaque with his rookie card that he mailed to have him autograph.
