I'm not sure if it is even debatable that the meta develops around what breaks the game to the point where coding cannot handle it. Meta, for Mut at least, is what causes the cpu to dumb out.
Whether it is deep blues watching guys run corner and posts routes repeatedly in bunch, or the idiocy they defended tight offset with last year, meta is spamming what breaks the game.
Earlier this year, guys had a free blitzer down the middle. Not because the offensive line was out numbered. Because guys figured out a way to dumb out the offensive line to watch the blitzer run right through the middle of the defense.
Lookk at 6 1. 7 people can be left in the block and there still is a pretty good chance that a free rusher will emerge. This became meta because it dumbed out the offensive line logic.
While it may be debatable on if this is good or bad for thr game, it's not even really debatable that the meta typically evolves around what breaks the game. Not realistic football or anything like that.
I wish meta spammers would just own it. Don't say that people do it in real life. No one runs three offensive plays all game repeatedly in the nfl. Just admit that you spam the cheese because you feel it gives you the best chance to win.
