I’m just wondering how many people will move in to CFB and leave Madden alone this year. I’m thinking a lot. Hopefully the Lack of people playing Madden 25 will be the kick in the pants that the developer team needs to make that game better. First year im skipping Madden since 1989
I hope so as well. I’m thinking ironically that ncaa will be the madden killer we all want and need. Funny they did it to themselves when we all been hoping for 2k
OP... it's crazy that you've been playing Madden since 1989 and have finally had enough of this frustrating game and EA's shenanigans. Although I've played some of the older Maddens... I really started playing MUT hard core with Madden 15 (the one with Sherman on the cover). It's been my primary hobby for a decade and I played the game pretty much year-round. I usually look forward to the new release and starting the grind over again.
But I can't stand gameplay on the current gen version of the game. For my taste... they've made it too easy for new players and casuals to move the ball and score on offense and have completely nerfed usering on D. That's the part of the game I enjoy the most. This "casualization" of the game began a few years ago and while I understand that some like the "sim" style... it's just not for me. Despite making several attempts to try out the newer version of the game... I've always gone back and spent the most time playing M23 and M24 using the old gen version of the game (on my current gen console).
When I heard that the M25 Beta played EVEN SLOWER on defense... I decided my Madden days may be at an end. I could do another year playing the old gen version of the game... but it's certainly dying off. I took a break from M24 from February through June and only recently started playing again to see if my interest could be rekindled. I'm just not feeling like I want to spend another year on the hamster wheel when the core game itself is just not that fun anymore. I haven't looked into the new college game... maybe that's something I should check out?
I just read the writeup on CFB.FAN and man I'm tempted to skip M25 and go all in for CFB 25.
The only problem is that I told my wife I'm finally giving up Madden and she was very happy. I don't think she'll be too excited to hear I've just rebranded my addiction.

too real
I think I’m the only one highly skeptical of the college game.
For one, it‘s the SAME company that makes Madden. So why do we think it will be any different,
Secondly, it sounds like not every player for each team will be in the game. I can’t imagine playing my favorite team and having only 3-5 real players from that team in the game.
I’ll be back on Madden. It’s wait and see for me on the college game.
btw, I’m right there with you OP…I’ve been on the game since 1990 on my Sega in college.
have no desire for college football games its nfl or nothing for me
only reason I ever played mut was because there hasn't been a ncaa lol

Kick in the pants, are you ppl not aware EA makes both games... Like how is spending money on a different platform they created ( a kick in the pants) also they only make an actual new game when there's a change in consoles so they're never at a loss. Plus the idea that somehow NCAA going to be different is a joke. There will be kids that find glitch plays and post them on YouTube for clicks and then you'll see the same 5 plays in NCAA. I typically don't comment and I don't bitch too much but I just can't believe how many ppl acting so dense

same could be said to you....you think Madden is just gonna magically get better when you fools continue to spend? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN lol most ppl that played ncaa played for dynasty, r2g, etc.....Why in the hell would EA Madden ever change their strategy when they deliver a trash product every year and keep removing content (no SB rewards, no WL rewards, non auctionable rewards, etc etc etc) But yea keep defending and spending and see what happens

I never spend, not sure where your getting that from I haven't given EA a Dime in 3 years 🤡
Absolutely not. Madden is an established brand and will definitely have an active fanbase.
My hope, which may sounds extremely optimistic, is that in-company competition between the CFB team and Madden team will make for a better overall product.
