Switching from ps4 to ps5 does rookie premier transfer or should I spend my coins just opening packs and having fun instead

If you acquire Rookie Premiers, they should be locked/attached to your account. IF you end up playing M25 from the same EA account, you'll get the rewards across both systems. At least that's how it worked (for me) on M23 --> M24, I got the Rookie Premiers on both PS4 Pro & PS5 versions of Madden 24.

oh That’s amazing! thanks so much.

That was bad info, sorry to say. 23 to 24 is not the same. On 24, everything was seperated. There were people that switched from PS4 to PS5 at Christmas, and nothing transfered over - no coins, no progress.

Correct, however, EA anticipates all manner of issue(s) and attaches these rewards to your EA account, so it's not split by platform. You can play on both teams have have M25 tokens on both versions. I highly doubt anything about that will change. It's identical to how things worked this year (with M24) and i definitely received these to both versions of the game, despite the split.

Regardless, this is purely speculation on my part, but i have no reason to doubt things will change. EA isn't trying to make more work for themselves. There are constant issues with acquiring these account bound items, but i do not anticipate you having any issues making the leap to PS5 version (or Xbox equivalent).

Except that is exactly how things DIDN'T work this year, and it was completely split by platform. Yes you can PLAY on both versions, but they are not connected and nothing carries from one to the other this year.

I must be the rare exception, or something. I can show you my PS4 Pro account which has the Aidan Hutchinson Rookie Premier, 87 OVR or whatever.
And I also receive Aidan along with all 32 other RPs on PS5. I started the year with both consoles, before realizing the game was completely split. I got sick of using Remote Play from the PS4 Pro in my bedroom to access my MUT squad (on PS5), so eventually I purchased a used digital edition PS5 to toss in my room.
Definitely got the content to both accounts, but obviously I do not work for EA and can only speculate how things will be moving forward, but EA would be answering thousands of help requests from people who have upgraded consoles mid-cycle. If nothing else we can count on EA being lazy and not trying to create extra work (or costs) for EA Help support.
YMMV.

You’re right and wrong. No progress or coins will transfer is where you are Correct. But where youre wrong is you still got the RPs from M23 to M24 on both Xbox One account and my Xbox Series X. I started on my Xbox One but decided to upgrade about 3 weeks into M24. So again yeah no progress you get from challenges or coins or any other cards will transfer. But what the other guy is saying is probably correct tho, as that’s the way they’ve been doing It for a while now That RPs will still transfer as long as you upgrade to the newer version of the same console you have. Xbox one to PS5 wouldn’t work etc.

You are more than correct, I played M23 on Xbox One and started M24 on there as well and got my RPs. About 3 weeks into the M24 season I switched over to an Xbox Series X and also got my RPs on the series X. The other dude is semi right when he says no progress and coins or other cards would transfer. But he’s completely wrong about what you’re saying and what I just said above. I can’t imagine they would change that. A lot of people would probably be mad. Obviously it has to same console to same console, can’t go from PS4 to Xbox series x and get the RPs
