I plan on only “spending money” when I get gift cards like for my birthday, christmas, etc. knowing me tho I’m probbaly gonna spend 100 of my own money cuz I know ima be a gambling addict 💀
How much money are you planning to spend
My son and I will probably get the platinum pack(s) every week and occasionally something else.

sounds fun, gonna be like a competition like CC does or just for fun or both?

Just for fun, really. We play MUT on the same account, so we just constantly try to improve the team as much as we can within reason, of course.

I try to NOT get suckered into this shit, but last year was an absolute mess for me. Got banned (for the first time, in October), managed to get that overturned as i have never bought or sold coins from anywhere... nobody cares, EA definitely does not. They banned me again for the second and final time first week of December. I kept assuming I would be able to get that overturned, as well -- obviously never happened.
I was too dumb to just start a fresh account, so I ended up pissing away an obscene amount of money on my main account trying to field a competitive squad. I don't dare go back through all my credit card statements to do the math, but I almost certainly could have purchased myself a giant new OLED television for my bedroom with the amount that ended up getting dumped into MUT24.
I never plan or intend to actually spend money, but it ultimately matters how much i'm able to stomach working the laggy ass MUT menus. I log on for a couple/few hours in the evenings after wr0k to unwind and don't necessarily want to spend the bulk of my time working the auction house, but I'll try to find some creative way to earn coins. I did way too good of a job profiting last year and EA hates when users profit, so boom; ban after ban.
Maybe this year i'll grow a pair of balls and quit this awful, buggy ass mess, finally retire instead of starting again on my side account. We shall see. I'm curious if EA will be able to pull off this ranked mode stuff. I have my doubts, they've never shown any indication that they're competent at execution, even in the rare instance where they have a decent idea (thinking pass catching, or stamina/fatigue glitch -- nice idea, terrible execution, which was ultimately reverted).
In a perfect world I'll spend $0, but eventually I'll get frustrated or impatient and start throwing money at my "problems" as we quest to field a competitive team for online play.

This
So I think I'm one of a number of players who ended M24 obscenely coin rich - and did so with modest cash spend earlier in the year that in the end wasn't really necessary. That said, I'm with Easy and Peatrick - when I spend (and it's never been more than a couple hundred in a season), it's about convenience more than trying to stay hypercompetitive week to week.
I benefitted last year from selling the 87OVR Hutchinson Rookie Premiere on the day it was released to us, and using that coin base to support card flipping from there. Without a similar auctionable RP this year, it'll be tougher.
Maybe $100 but I wait until after Superbowl to drop $$
This year I'm going to take the money I normally spend on MUT and put it into an Index Fund.
Spending my annual 70$ on the standard edition and not buying anything else
Same as every year for me. Spend on the MVP edition of the game, then not another penny after that.
