Long story short:
I was playing the #40 ranked in H2H last night and won 17-13 (suck it if you're seeing this)
But, his Hutch was lit up almost every play of the game ...
My Hutch never lit up once, *nor did any other Xfactors on my offense or defense*.
What gives? What's the secret.

Huh? All you have to do is activate Aidan Hutchinson's Momentum Shift in the normal X-factors section of your lineup, which I assume you have been doing. Perhaps your opponent was also subbing in someone liek TonyG? (I'm sort of spacing on which other players/cards on Offense get Momentum Shift). That's entirely possible. I've only been subbing Caleb Jones in on offense, but they might have been also getting Aidan to play TE. Coming up short on any other potential suggestions or methods they might have been using against you.
There's no possible way to keep Aidan Hutchinson's Momentum Shift active on every single play. It will cycle off, eventually. He could have been using Persistent, which would have extended Aidan's X-factor, allowing it to remain active for two plays in a row, but then I believe it takes a couple plays to charge back up. Although this would be more than sufficient to ensure your X-factors were constantly getting disabled.
This is the primary reason why X-factors as baked on passive abilities became THE most vital aspect of cards in the end-game. Hope these random ideas mostly make sense, nothing exact or concrete here, but some stuff to speculate about or mull over. Congrats on yer clutch win in a close one.
Are you sure he had Momentum Shift. Could be another X-Factor that is activated for more plays.

I was and still am very perplexed.
The only time I noticed his Hutch not lit up was in the 4th for a play or two. Other than that, he was lit up all game.
My xFactors: (Gibbs' Truzz, Baker's Omaha, and Alstott's Freight Train) NEVER lit up once.
Same on defense: (Hutch's MS, Clark's reinforcement, and Turner's Blitz) didn't light up either.
I know I selected them in the lineup screen bc they were stuck "building up" just never activated. (Also, I had just played 2 games and they were just fine).
And thanks, I was only able to play 3 H2Hs bc getting that dub against this prick drained all of my mental focus and prolly raised my BP to stroke level.
I've only seen this a time or two, and always on a MCS field lol.
Figured I'd finally post to try and see what this strat was.

And then they were stuck "building up" the rest of the game. They never actually activated on the field.
It's BS the way I had to sweat out that W, avoiding Avalanches and KOs.
But all of this to say, I just want to know why my Hutch along with my 5 other Xfactors never activated once.
There has to be some strat a select few know about.

This late in the season, if there was some magic "trick" or method, I think we'd have heard about it at SOME point. Have your X-factors worked since then? If you hop into a Solo Battle, do the X-factors start on, as anticipated?
Too bad you didn't stream that game, because i'm super curious. I don't doubt anything that you're saying, although i'd almost certainly chalk it up to the usual EA buggy ass mess type ordeal, rather than some doofus trying to exploit you.
