Madden (Playstation) Tournament play.

Wasn't really sure where to post this question / topic, I probably should spend a few minutes attempting to review any documentation I can find, but i keep running into random dead ends with my initial research.

I was dabbling with the various, daily Madden tournament play on Playstation 5 platform.  I won a couple qualifier tournaments in the past, which got me an entry into the Road to the Bowl Madden tournament, but i only survived a few rounds before choking.  However, since then I'll randomly be feeling all out of in-game MUT content and decide to try my luck with the daily tournaments, which i think might be this: https://compete.playstation.com/en-us/madden_24

It's not that big a deal, but my question is -- how does one go about actually accepting or receiving the rewards from winning one of these regular PlayStation Madden daily tournaments?  I think I'm supposed to be getting five bucks ($5 USD) in PSN credit, but not finding it applied to my account anywhere.  I ran through a full transaction history, no dice.  No email saying here's a code to redeem your reward.

I guess I can reach out to Playstation support, although i'm unsure if this is Sony or EA sponsored content.  I believe it's the former, however i know nothing.  Thanks in advance for anyone who may see this and be able to offer some suggestions or pro-tips.

I went back through late last evening and re-read the Tournament Rules, apparently it was just a regular Playstation Tournament i managed to bumble my way into.  Allegedly payment will be sent within thirty (30) days.

I did a piss-poor job phrasing an actual question above, I was curious if anyone else bothered with these type tournaments, or what methods folks could suggest for finding high quality opponents in an effort to continually improve?

Not that i'm aware of... although, i guess i could have missed five bucks at some point, it may have simply discounted a purchase and i didn't notice at the time.  I poked through my payment history and wasn't able to find any $5 credit from PSN, or anywhere else, only the $20 awards i redeemed through Playstation Stars.

I'll be sure to update this thread if/when i find out anything different.  Not sure that ever arrived, I think i've won two of those tournaments.

Latest information suggests Sony takes ~90 days too pay out these $5 Tournament rewards. Won another a few days ago, April 12th, 2024 hopefully I live long enough to receive any of these rewards. 🏆

So you just logged in and it was in your PlayStation wallet? I’ve won a couple as well and been waiting.

I think it legit took liek ~90 days to receive my first batch, then a few others trickled in after that.  I'm waiting on liek at least 3-4 more, but have mostly given up on tournament play, because it's filled with losers griefing and wasting everyone's time.

Anyway, you'll eventually get a notification on your Playstation, basically the same as any other one you would receive, so keep an eye out.  Only these notifications will come with a 12 digit code that you can apply directly to your account (or someone else's account, i assume) and get the $5 gift card.  Basically if you just click on the notification and tell it to send to your wallet, it'll add the code automagically, you don't even have to type anything in, it autofills.

I’ve won 47 tournaments since July 24th. And nothing. playstation support doesn’t help. I’ve emailed the tournament committe. Nothing.

Wow, 47 eh?  You glitching people or actually playing?  Either way, that dedication is impressive.  Be patient, they send em out in batches.  I've probably got liek 10-15+ i'm waiting on.  Some people say it takes "a week" but in my limited experience, it's been more liek 30-90 days.

I'll update you if/when I see them, but i have definitely received some (more than one) in the past.  You'll get a notification from your PS5 and then with a couple clicks you can add the funds ($5 a pop) to your wallet.  Keep checking those notifications.  I just started deleting my old notifications so i don't accidentally bury them.

It’s just easy now cause no one has a good team since its end of game. Haven’t sold my team off yet.  Well it was and now everyone as soon as they get behind the score board they just sit and take infinite delay of games until the game gives them the win so it’s not worth playing anymore.

That's been my experience, as well -- congrats on your huge run, that's truly impressive.  I don't even have half what you put up, but above twenty (tournament wins).  I'll keep an eye out and let ya know if/when Sony ever starts paying out.  I think most of my tournament wins were from mid-July.
