Boom Upgrade Token issues?

Yesterday, I got Jabrill Peppers, a Boom Upgrade Token and a tip.

I quick-sold the tip and tried to upgrade Peppers with the token. 

The token is in my binder, but when I try adding the token to Peppers it searches and does not find the token.

Any idea what is causing this issue?

They gave the 83 token up front. Get the initial ones thru challenges, solos.

So there are different levels of Boom Upgrade Tokens........like the Season 1 Player upgrade tokens?

Yes. Be careful not to overspend the points before getting all the season players as well
