Switched from old Gen this year and the laser focus required to play new Gen with the micro movements and interactions at slow pace gets mind numbing. I constantly feel like I've finished some kind of complex math problem after every game rather than just running around and you know... PLAYING. Making this post not to complain but more looking for perspectives that can help me through this transition. Just hoping the game gets more fun as the cards get faster at this point.

Old gen version still plays like you're used to... and FUN.
Really happy I stayed... looking forward to one final year with my Saints Offensive PB and user lurks!

I might just have to run both at this point. EA wins again!

Hell yeah. I’m still on 24 but I’ll get 25 once 99’s drop and everyone stops playing it. Probably around June-July. I think old gen is better gameplay wise
Yall crazy liking old gen more

Agreed. I briefly dabbled with PS4 Pro version of the game, before EA basically forced us all to upgrade our consoles last year (during M24 cycle) -- all the players on old gen feel liek they're skating around on ice. I can't stand the old blocky graphics. Frostbite game engine already feels tired, but holy hell the PS4 version appears liek it's straight out of the PS2 generation of games. I realize Madden has never been exactly cutting edge, but how does anyone pass the ball using the classic pass mechanics? Can you even pass lead on old-gen (using L2 or left trigger, i think, on Xbox)?
I notice every single year that there's some ancient Playstation Trophy for throwing a low ball, but i'm not sure it's even possible to throw those types of passes on current generation of consoles. Normally that would be the L1 button (or left bumper on Xbox?), however on current gen, that equates to a high point pass. VERY different games. I understand habits are extremely difficult to break... hence why i'm here, fully addicted to this bad game. Change is difficult, many (if not most) humans will eventually become resistant to change. I experience something similar in the sense that I rarely want to give up my Colts (or fEagles during M24) offensive playbook. After a couple random attempts, i'm also back to running Raiders on defense, identical to how i finished M24. I guess my point is that i sort of get where these folks are coming from, but absolutely, without a doubt, 100% agree that it sounds exceptionally kRaZeE to intentionally remain on last-generation. People liek what they liek, ya know... different strokes for different folks, i guess.
Current Gen Madden 25 gameplay is very realistic (with the exception of defense, as zone defenders are brain dead unless they are in match).
If one hates "realistic gameplay", this game is no longer for them lol.

Just because that’s when all 99’s will be released. I’m on old gen so it’s literally the same game as 24 with updated rosters. I’m loving playing 24 still except being matched against this guy chevy6speed 😂 that guy makes me hate the game.

i def prefer old gen too, but the market is so weak on old gen you can't stay ther.
