Oh guess it went over my head whoops
Yep..if you think you have a coin making method, you're wrong. If it works, it won't work by the time you manage to get it done anyway. If it actually would work, you'll probably get dropped by your ISP like me, having comcast who named their ad campaign "comcastic" after the very word craptastic. If it miraculously does work, you're selling your soul for a boring grind. Then it will be negative profit later on and cancel it out anyway.

I thought these new AKA sets were:
- four regular 82 OVR AKAs
- +1 individual (specific player), also 82 OVR
Meaning five (5) total 82 OVR AKA cards to build the 85 Champion set. So the math would be more liek 5 * 90k (per 82 OVR) = 450k gross profit, minus 10% EA tax and it's basically a wash. Hard to profit off cards when margins are that tight.
This basic formula will persist throughout the entire year. The faster you act, the more profit potential. Day 1 new content drops, if you are working the markets, you should be selling into that hype. It's possible, just takes a ton of time invested working through those MUT menus in the auction house. I can only stomach so much before i get bored. There's other people significantly tougher and more motivated than i am, who will build playbook sets, sell them for 1-2k profit and rinse, repeat. But you'd have to do that literally hundreds upon hundreds of times in order to make any significant headway. Thanks, but no thanks -- I'm not trying to pretend my time is significantly more valuable than anyone else's, but I've gotta draw the line somewhere.
The other potential coin making method would be to focus on the higher (80-84) Core Elites from many of the most popular teams / names. For example, if you can snipe an 84 OVR Patrick Mahomes for ~200k, you can absolutely resell it same-day for 250-300k range, making significant profit. That is much more efficient than building sets, IMO and less risky... especially if you find platinum players, which helps to hedge risk factor. There is currently no shortage of platinum players, so go nuts.
Be advised, THE MOMENT you post a coin-making method on an open forum, it almost instantly becomes significantly less profitable, which is why most folks tend to keep these little "methods" (for lack of a better term) close to the chest.

Yeah the playbook method is a tried and true and sometimes you can flip golds or low OVR cards but is it really worth it? I could just play H2H seasons, unranked in my case as an NMS, and I make pretty decent coins that way. A lot of games are decided fairly early anyways at this point.

This is a really good (and ridiculously accurate) assessment and recap of the whole MUT Menu Champs type players. My parents are forced to suffer through Craptastic (err... Comcastic Xfinity) and any time we visit, i bow down and thank the ISP gods that we have reliable and decently fast (now symmetrical) 500Mbps fiber to the home service.
My only use for Comcast is to use the Xfinity login to unlock the NFL games on terrestrial television (NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN... does ABC have games anymore, or is that all rolled into the ESPN / Disney umbrella? I'm old, sorry crappy memory) during the season that i'm not able to otherwise stream. Although, often times it's better to sail the high seas than it is to suffer through NBC Sports inconsistent streaming experience.

lololol
the best coinmaking method you could do right now is to invest in the UP 82s at floor price. when the new season of boom comes out on thursday they will all disappear and shoot up to 50k minimum, could see them getting up to 60k before settling back to 50k

I'm not sure about the service you're describing, but it sounds interesting. But yeah Comcast is currently the only option where I live. I mean, there is another option technically but they are so bad they make Comcast look great. I didn't think that would be possible but here we are.
Heres a slow brutal one. Buy 70s under 700 per. Put in base team item set. Sell defensive ravens/dolphins playbooks 3500-4k per. Small change but its something.
I have been on a nice 4 week break from working the MUT market. I may wait until the legends drop on Saturday before I dive back in. It will be interesting to see how the market shifts after RP/season of boom part two as well.

The free market here in the USofA is such a wonderful thing, eh? It's almost as if the big telecom providers have somehow agreed to not compete with one another, based purely on geographic regions. I thought we got rid of this type stuff (breakup of the Bell System) when I was a small child, back in the early-mid 1980s... yet here we are. Oof.
I feel your pain. Reliable, stable, fast internet service is on par with having electricity these days. The majority of my interactions are virtual, i assume most Americans are in a similar boat, although i wr0k remotely, so it's even more important to my day to day existence. We are fortunate to have a tiny regional fiber provider. They're using some third rate (third tier?) backbone, but despite knowing that, i've have very few issues over the past 5+ years. I can count the total number of minutes of downtime on my fingers. It's been so reliable, i no longer have to pony up for redundant internet service, just in case things go dark.
I can empathize with where you are coming from, no doubt.

It's already to late. Those 82s be pretty pricey already. Took like 25mins last night to get 5 82s at min price.
