I ended up doing a play action with a fly...and just lobbed it up there. Took several times, but it eventually gave me credit for doing it.

I can do it in skills trainer no problem but never not once in the solo game watched videos to see no luck I feel like this game is 10x harder than Elden Ring lmao

Go to main menu Settings and change your passing to "CLASSIC" passing type.
Registered a lob pass for me on first try. Think I just threw a lob to HB out of backfield.
Done.

I've always done classic. Fly route didn't work, deep middle cross didn't work. Hb screen didn't work. I'll keep trying lol

make sure youre just tapping the button, dont hold it at all or youll accidentally do a touch pass and the game wont tell you

hB Swing passes and Screens are easy for lobs.

For that solo I'm pretty sure you have to score on the lob pass. I was able to do it after a few tries of it not registering. I'm not on classic passing but doing a lob without touching my left stick seemed to trigger it to activate. Hopefully you can get.
